Money

If I were to receive money
for every time I thought about you
last night
I would have gotten a dollar
Now hold on
Because that could equal either
The ten dimes
I spent looking at your pictures
Or
The 20 nickels
I spent outlining the lip you bit
Maybe even
The 4 quarters
I spent reliving our memories
Also it could be
the 100 pennies
I spent telling myself I will get better
Or  just
The 1 quarter, 3 nickels and 6 dimes
I spent reminding myself I am worth more than you made me to be in your head
But my absolute favorite was the 2 half dollars
That I spent embracing myself .
it's okay to feel this way
one day I will forget you completely
