We all sat on the roof for the rest of the day, just staring up at the stars. Everything was calm and nice.... Too calm, too nice, too... perfect. Ugh I just wanted to barf from this moment that was happening, but I had a better idea.

"Let's go to my place," I said shooting up from my spot.

"Uh i don't know, it's kind of late and we have mass tomorrow," Naomi said, while leaning on Death's legs.

Those two, I'm not exactly sure what Death is thinking but I'm highly sure this can't go right. He's Death for shitsake and last I time checked him and human have a bad rep together.

"You attend St. Joseph's, right?" She nodded. "Mass was moved to Sunday, due to a broken pipe in the boiler room."

"And how do you know that," Aniel asked skeptically.

I cut my eyes at him trying to test me. "That's none of your business, just know I'm not making it up. If you think I'm lying go ask your mom."

She would tell him the same thing, seeing as how she just hung up from getting the call. Unless they plan on going to a different church, they're not going anywhere. So he stared at me trying to see if I'd give, but I don't cave so easily under humans gaze, especially when everything inside me is intact.

"Fine, then let's go," he said getting up and crawling back through his window.

I couldn't get mad at his quickness, because that's what I wanted, but what is he doing? Death laughed lowly and I shot him a quick glare before I ducked inside. I could've just jumped off the roof, but Naomi is still in the dark about everything.... Hm maybe I should let Death deal with that since they're new besties now.

Aniel was on the move and was already downstairs before I could get through his door. When we came down he was talking to his dad in the other room.

"Ah it's the cow bells, I didn't know you were still here," he said cheerfully when he saw me.

I didn't really mean to stiffen unnaturally still, but I did. I hate that nickname and the only person I accept it from is Alastor. That was his nickname, not anyone else's.

"Yes I am," I struggled to say. "I love nicknames but that is no bueno. So let's not use that one."

He made an X in the air. "It's off the list."

"Thanks. Come on," I told Aniel. "We need all the time we can get for this project."

His dad arched his brow looking at Aniel. "What project?"

I gasped, looking really apologetic. "Sorry maybe I should've asked you first. We have to do a documentary like video on an average teenage life- you know the typical stuff like what we do for fun. It's for the time capsule at school. I hoped we'd have it done by now, but it's not even close to finished."

"That sucks. Well I don't want you rushing, take all the time you need, just be safe. Is your sister going with you?"

"Yes," Aniel said hesitantly.

"Alright, make sure she's safe too."

Aniel nodded and we were on our way. Aniel rode in the car with me while Naomi rode with Death. At least if they get in an accident she won't die. It's fun to look at the bright side of a bad situation. Like if Kali or Alastor comes to see me I'll probably won't have to fix this misdirection anymore, because I'll probably be back in hell or slowly dying. Either or sounds delightful.

Don't get me fooled I am fixing it, but slowly. Aniel already knows I can manipulate people, but manipulating him wouldn't work, because he'd probably be expecting it. So I can only influence his thoughts little, by little.
