Painted Greys

-This is a short poem that I wrote to try to get rid of some stuff in my head.-

Only black days, painted grey

With clouds full of fear,

On cracked stone, mellow tones,

And eyes full of tears.

A world etched in charcoal

Colour a vivid dream,

And now, no-one seems to notice

Even the loudest of screams.

We try to hold onto our hope,

As we are dragged into the night,

Yet, once the darkness has taken hold,

There is nothing more terrifying than light.
