Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Chapter 5

Alyssa's POV

My alarm woke me up. I didn't freak out this time. How could I forget possibly the best day of my entire life? I felt like sleeping in but I was way too excited! We're going SHOPPING TODAY! But, I was out like a light in 5 minutes. I heard Louis come in just as I was about to go to sleep again.

"Lyssi. Get up." He said, shaking me gently. I groaned and turned over. What? A girl can't be excited and tired at the same time? Suddenly, I heard a thud. I then realized I was on the floor.

" What the hell?" I said, sitting up. I looked up to see Louis and Harry, smiling down at me.

" Morning, love." Harry said. I rolled my eyes and got up.

" Gosh... No need to be so impatient." I muttered, standing up and walking to the bathroom. I washed my face and hair and had a shower. I changed into a blue hello kitty shirt and black skinny jeans.

I looked at my long brown hair and brushed it. My hair was longish. It comes to my chest so it's quite long. I came out of the bathroom and went downstairs, eager for food. Niall was stuffing his face with pancakes, Belgian Waffles and Bacon.

" Good morning to you too then?" I said, making him jump a little. I chuckled, getting a pancake and smearing it with whipped cream. I got a knife and fork before beginning to cut a piece of pancake. Yeah, I have nice table manners. Got a problem?

As I was just about to put the piece in my mouth, I noticed Niall staring at me.

" What?" I asked, looking at him. His face was all oily and her had whipped cream on his nose. His eyes stood fixed on me.

" O-ok then..." I continued, putting the piece in my mouth. Zayn came down, all dressed.

" Hey Niall. Hi there, Lys-" He stopped in the middle of his sentence and stared at me.

" What??" I asked again.

" It's just I've never seen someone eat pancakes with a knife and fork. And you eat so politely and delicately." Zayn explained. I replied with a smile and continued to eat in silence.

My school taught me all these manners. How to eat correctly. How to greet a person who is any bit royal. And how to sit perfectly. School was by far the best part of my day. I had only 2 friends but I didn't mind at all. School was the safest place I could think of at that time.

I finished my meal and left it in the sink, wiping my mouth. Saph was in the living room, watching some Spongebob. Making my way upstairs, I heard Louis talking on the phone. I walked along to my room, listening to his conversation. I know, I know. It's rude to spy on people.

" Yeah, we're going to tell them....I'm not sure. They might....You have to meet them!......Alyssa and Sapphire.......She's 14......8..." Louis said. I wonder who he was talking to? And what he was going to tell who?

When he got off the phone, he came to my room.

" The girls will be here in a few." He said, sitting on my bed. I looked at him. He looked down at the floor. He looked a bit sad.

" W-what's the matter?" I asked, sitting next to him. He looked over at me.

" Well, I was looking at your adoption files and I saw about your...mum and dad." He said. I stiffened at the 3 words but then chilled a bit.

" Oh... I... umm..." I tried to say something but the words just couldn't come out of my mouth.

" Don't worry. I just thought about how you did it."

" Did what?"

" Survived in that place?"

" It was hard. I had to lie to my best friends. Lie to teachers. If they ever found out, they'd hate me. You weren't aloud to have guests and the house always smelt of alcohol."

" Really?"

" Y-yeah. I'm glad you adopted me."

" I'm glad I found you and Saph." He said, smiling. We hugged and heard the doorbell ring. I squealed and sped down the stairs. Liam opened the door and the girls came inside. They were looking very pretty today! I hugged all of them and got Saph. I slipped on some blue VANS and went with the girls.

Shopping Trip. HERE WE COME!
