I gawked at the site in front of me. The building had maroon brick that looked vintage, but elegant. It was as if the building was from another time with vinery taking over the walls of the building. The leaves that grew from the vines had made a serene pattern that followed all the down to the door. The scene was quite beautiful considering the blaring music that was coming from the building.

I didn't realize how long I had been staring until Gizelle was waving her hand in my face.

"So, do you like it?" She asked while widening her big, beautiful blue eyes.

I blushed noticing how clear her eyes were as if she was sending me a message. I looked away so I wouldn't have to deal with my feelings for her.

I nodded while making eye contact with the building in front of me. "Yes, I absolutely love this place. I thought we were going to another place downtown."

She shook her head while chuckling. "I pulled some strings to get us into this place. C'mon let's go in, I'm tired standing outside in the cold." She took my hand, and laced her fingers with mine.

I smiled to myself as I thought about my friend. The friend who I have been in love with for two years. Two years seemed like such a long time ago, but I felt as if were yesterday.

It was a quiet October morning as I was waited for my coffee. I was looking out the window where orange leaves fell along the concrete sidewalk. The clouds had covered the sky.

I sighed, this kind of weather had always been my favorite. I loved having to put a wind breaker over my flannel due to the chilly breezes. The feeling of piping hot coffee warming my hands up made the world seem cozy. It was the only time of year where the world was a fantasy.

I heard my name being called indicating my coffee was ready. That was also the moment I heard an angelic laugh.

I turned my head to see red curls pulled into a pony tail, crystal clear blue eyes, freckles sprinkled along ivory skin. Her curls were bouncing along with her laugh. Her pale cheeks were turning red as she laughed. The moment should've been painted because she was a masterpiece.

She met my eyes and blushed beet red. "I'm sorry, it was just a thought I was having."

I shook my head and laughed, "No, it's fine. I bet it was worth the laugh."

I held my hand out to shake, "My name is Victoria."

She shook my hand, "The name is Gizelle, and nice grip."

I smiled as I thought of the fond memory that had filled my mind. I, then, realized we were next in line to get into the club.

I showed my I.D. as I entered the club that was throbbing with music. The bass made the whole place vibrate and pulse. The club was exotic looking with  multi-color lights flashing throughout the room. The colors were bright and beautiful, nothing I had ever seen before.

I looked around the club to try to absorb the scenery. Sweaty bodies were dry humping left and right. It was as if I were in another universe. I saw the ancient brick decorating the walls like the place had been open for a hundred years instead of two months.

I walked towards the bar to get something to quench my thirst. I felt the gazes on me coming from numerous people. The gazes were a mixture of lust and jealousy. I ignored them because tonight I was only interested in one person.

When I walked up to the bar, I stood there waiting for the bartender. The poor guy was dealing with flirtatious drunk girls who were clearly underage. However at the corner of my eye, a being caught my attention.

It appeared to be a young woman dressed in strange, long robes with a dress underneath. It was odd due to the high temperatures in the room. She seemed to have long, straight, silver hair that reached her hips. Her eyes are what caught my full attention. Her eyes seemed to be glowing in the barely lit room, they were a deep purple that were unnatural.

I was about to approach her and to learn the name of this woman, but she disappeared into the crowd right before my eyes. I looked around to see where she had gone.

"Hey Victoria, are you okay?", Gizelle's concerned voice filled my ears. I nodded to reassure that I was fine. I looked at my phone, 8:30 PM was the time.

"Do you want to dance?", I asked, trying to forget that strange happening. She smiles as she took my hand to lead me to the throbbing dance floor.

She pulled me close to her. It sent shivers through my entire body. I could feel her breath on my neck as she put her hands on my waist. I bit my lip as a strange sensation that pulsed through my body.

"You can stop resisting me, you know.", she whispered to me in my ear seductively. She looked me in the eyes, lust clearly clouding hers.

She started to lean in to kiss me. I closed my eyes to finally give into something I've been wanting for the last two years. I saw something that stopped me though.

I saw a flash of silver in the corner of my eye, I looked up to see the woman from before weaving through the cluster of people.

"I'll be right back", I whispered in her ear as I pushed passed the crowds of intoxicated people. I was getting closer to catching up with her, I needed to know that woman's name. It would surely kill me with curiosity if I didn't find out. As I got closer to her, I could see her more clearly before. I noticed how tall she was, she seemed about a foot taller than me.

I was about to tap her on the shoulder when someone else pushed into me, making me loose her in the midst of the crowd. I almost gave up on finding this woman, but I saw her slipping out the door.

I decided to follow her out of the door to get some fresh air from the smell of vomit and lust. I pushed on the door to step back into the tranquility of the outside world. Everything seemed to be at a stand still while the orange leaves fell from the trees onto the streets. It was the most peaceful image I have seen in the city as this time of night.

I realized I lost track of the woman when I came face-to-face to a dead end. I sighed, knowing I didn't want to go back into the claustrophobic room.

When I started to turn back, but I heard a strange sound. The sound of a door unlocking, but I was in an alley way so it was impossible. I turned my head to see a surprising sight.

There was a door, it looked ancient with wood that had such angelic carvings upon it. The knob imitated the same carvings. I walked towards the door as if it was calling to me, like it belonged to me.

The carvings looked like ancient runes that had been messages, trying to warn the outside not to come inside. Along the runes, were carvings of vines that wrapped along the door and doorknob. The vines had the illusion of having a death grip on the entrance. It was as if it had something to protect.

I reached for the knob, I hesitated because everything about the situation was obscure. However, I pushed the thought away as I turned the knob.

I pulled the door open and stepped inside. I held my breath as I tried to get a sneak peak beyond the entrance. The anticipation killed me to find out what was beyond this door.

I couldn't get a good look at my surroundings when I felt something hitting my head, sending me to the hard ground.

Before I passed out, I heard a voice, like a velvet whisper, "Sorry about that darling.", as a clock struck nine. Then, I had given into the darkness.
