Chapter2: MATT

I woke up to the sound of the kettle boiling. Auntie June makes the best coffee in the whole of Cape Town! As i enter the kitchen , I hear the radio playing one of the goldenoldies by Micheal Jackson . I made my way to the kitchen to welcome my tummy with delicious pancakes and strawberry syrup. Just as i thought the day was going to be one for the books, Julie came in , hanging over her boyfriend Matt who was staying currently in the Kemp manor. I got up quickly in order to make the table right in order to give the two love birds some space. When i was done ,Auntie June told me to get done if I want to pick up some groceries for work tomorrow. I threw the dirty dish cloth in the sink and danced out of the kitchen  to irritate Julie , and as always, it worked and then i went upstairs ,went to the bathroom to gussy up a bit.  I went to my room and as usual I NEVER know what to wear and suddenly Julies boyfriend Matt comes barging in looking  for his hair gel but gets distracted by looking at my body.

I was so embarrassed, i must admit.  I then quickly shouted "ARE YOU STUPID"   and before I could complete my sentence ,he shut the room door and he put his pointing finger over my mouth. " i'm sorry babe" he said with a smirk. He removed his finger off my mouth and scanned my body once again while biting his lip. " Its not here" he shouted while opening the room door and left with winking.

How can Matt do that? I did not mind though but who can? His blond perfect cut hair , tanned skin and blue eyes can make any girls knees jelly. I looked at the door to remissness back to a few seconds until I heard auntie June hoot her car. I quickly threw on my little black dress and black vans and rushed downstairs , out the main door, to the grass where the SUV was parked.I got in the car gracefully in the car and Aunt June reminded me about my seat belt. I tightened myself and there we were off. Aunt June quickly started talking about her coffee shop and I quickly dozed off from the conversation .

I cant help but think of Nev. I then remembered that i never told Aunt June about my "engagement" and this is the perfect time. I think. "Lovey, whats on your mind? You seem a bit ... I don't know , worried ." said auntie June concerned. Was this the right time ? My voice began to break and my throat started closing. Nothing. I couldn't a word out. I just shook my head and turned the volume of the music louder that once sounded so distant.

We arrived at the local supermarket and as usual, I ran to the sweet section to get some Rascals. ( They are literally the BEST sweets ) I caught up with Aunt June and then caught her chatting up a storm with the guy who works at the pharmacy department. I looked closer at him as I came closer, it happened to be that asshole who dumped me after the second date, asking Aunt June for my number. ( of cause I didn't change my number because of him. I just upgraded to the new IPhone) I didn't really want to give it but he looked so desperate so i gave it. He hugged me thankfully for it and walked away like nothing happened.

" Looks like you got a date. i won't mind getting that" said Aunt June while smirking her face away.

I smiled awkwardly and thought about Damon in that moment.
