Chapter 2: Nurse's Office

Chase's POV

I look down at the girl that I'm carrying. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. As I'm carrying her through the hall ways towards the nurse's office, I growl at all the guys that are looking at her, not caring if they were human or werewolves. I didn't want any other guys looking at her but me.

I admit it, my wolf is already becoming very jealous and overproctective, even though I've only known her for over five minutes.

Now, all I could think about, was getting her to the nurse to make sure she was alright. I don't know what I would do if she ever got hurt, especially because she's part human. My wolf keeps telling me to protect her becuase she isn't a wolf and she isn't as strong.

I rush to the nurse's office and walk in telling the nurse that she fainted as I lay her down on the examination table. I pull a chair over to the side of the table and sit down as I grab one of her hands with mine. I reach up and I move a piece of her hair behind her ear. I smile a little again, just thinking of how I have the most beautiful girl as my mate, but I don't even know her name yet.

The nurse, being a werewolf and in my pack, tells me that she knows that this girl is my mate and that she's very pretty.

"Your mate will be fine. She probably just got overwhelmed when she bumped into you so she fainted."

I smile and rub my thumb over the back of my mate's hand as I continue to stare at her. "When will she wake up?" I ask kind of worriedly.

"She'll wake up in a little bit. It also helps that you're here, beings you're her mate and all."

I smile and say ok as she leaves the room for a little while, probably to give us some privacy I'm guessing. I look back down at my mate and run my eyes all over her face, thinking that she looks so peaceful when she is asleep like this.

Not even ten minutes later, after just staring at her, she starts to open her eyes. I smile again and say, "Hey kitten, you're finally awake..."

She sits up and looks down at me. "K-Kitten?" She asks as she looks confused.

I stand up in front of her and grab her other hand with my other one and smile at her. "Yes. I don't know your name yet, so for now, I'm calling you kitten."

She pulls her hands out of mine and I growl a little at that, but she can't hear it because it's so low. I can feel my wolf getting mad, feeling like he just got rejected by our own mate.

"W-Who are you?" She stutters as she looks up at my face, examining it, almost as if she's memorizing what I look like.

"I'm Chase, your mate..." I let out the last part about being her mate out as quiet as I can, knowing that she won't hear what I had said.

"Oh, well I'm Sydney." She says and smiles as she sticks out her hand so I can shake it.

I reach out and grab her hand, shaking it, as she gasps. I know why she's gasping. She feels it. She feels the tingles, the same tingles that are racing up my hand and arm right now, that almost feel like immense pleasure just from touching each other.

I smile and immediately ask, "Do you feel that?"

I know she does but she says, "Feel what?"

I stop smiling and just brush it off and say, "Nevermind, I'll explain it all to you in time." I grab her hand and start to walk towards the door when she asks, "Where are we going?"

I turn and look at her at she's speaking, my eyes immediately drawn to her lips as she's talking. I shake my head and clear my throat a little, trying to get the thoughts of kissing her senseless out of my mind. "I'm going to show you around. I already know for a fact that we have all of the same classes." I say because I had all of her classes changed so they were the exact same as mine. I know, I'm already completely obsessed with my mate.

I start to walk to first period, continuing to hold her hand, no matter what anyone said or did. Lot's of people were staring at us, and I could feel that she was getting uncomfortable with the staring so I pulled her closer to my side and glared at anyone who would even dare to look our way.

I lean down a little and whisper in her ear, "Ignore all of them kitten..."

I feel her shiver at the touch of my breath on her ear and I smile a little and then we reach class. I walk in, knowing exactly where I'm going to sit. I walk to the back and sit down in a chair and then I see her look around for a seat.

I see her look to the front and smile a little when she sees an empty seat, right in the front row. I knew that she wanted to sit there and I knew I didn't want to scare her by being so posessive so I just watched her walk away. That wasn't something that I liked. I didn't like it when she walked away from me.

"Sydney, your the new student right? Come up and introduce yourself and say something you like." Mrs. Seeli said as she leans against her desk, waiting for Sydney to come up to the front.

Sydney looks startled and slowly gets up and looks around, until her eyes meet mine and I smile warmly at her, encouraging her.

Sydney walks to the front, her eyes never leaving mine, and says, "I'm Sydney and my favorite animal is a wolf." I smile again and knew it was meant to be. She loved wolves, and I am one. After that I kept asking myself, "Will she ever be able to love me?"

Sydney's POV

The last bell of the day finally rang out, signalling that school is over. I smile as I think that I'll finally be able to go home now and walk my dog to the park and play with her. I absolutely love my dog Kaci.

I stand up and pack my stuff into my bag and then I quickly stop at my locker, hoping to throw my stuff in the locker and getting home quickly.

I'm walking along the sidewalk, down the street, when a black sport's car starts to drive slowly beside me. Me, not knowing who it is that's in the car, I start to freak out and walk a little faster. The car starts to drive a little faster, keeping up with me. The driver rolls down the window and I roll my eyes when I see who it is.
