Chapter 40: The bet

~Hiccup Pov~

I was in my hut, reading the book of dragons, while Toothless is busy sleeping. Since Heather betrayed us, we no longer have trust in her. I heard an knock on my door, as I walked towards it. I opened it and saw the stubborn Snotloud. I sign in sarcasm as I looked at him.

"What do you want Snotloud." I said as I rolled my eyes.

"I bet that you can't even do 20 push-ups." He said, as he crossed his arms.

"And if I can." I said as I stated to get in this bet of his.

"I would..." He paused, ".......I would let you teased me for an month. Or even better, I'll let you kiss Astrid." I
He said, my eyes widen a little.

"Deal." I said as I shook his hands.

"Meet me at the club house at before sundown." He said as he whistled Hookfang and flew off.

I grinned as I closed the door and started to practice. Toothless woke up as he looked at me.

"Bud, come here." I said, as Toothless come towards me.

"Put your hand on my back, and put a little pressure on it, k?" I told him, I got into push-up position as Toothless put his hand on my back.

He began to a little pressure on my back, until he put too much.

"Okay, that's a bit far bud." I wined. He look in surprised as he put less pressure.

I nodded as I stated to do push-ups.

~Astrid Pov~

I woke up, tired, I got out of the edge of my bed!?!? I noticed my face was nearly touched my floor. I lifted up my neck, ace and pain shoot through my neck. I groaned as I look at myself. My bed sheets are in the floor, and StormFly was at my window, looking at me in concern. I smiled as I got up. The only thing is to get the ace and pain away, is Hiccup. I did my braid, and I walked out of my hut. I walked towards Hiccup hut, as I knocked. I waited for a few seconds until Hiccup answers. He greeted me, and let me in.

"Ugh, Hiccup. I feel ace and pain in my neck. You know how to make it better?" I told him, without answering he went up to me. He got the tip of my head, and the tip of the bottom of my chin. And started to make my head go round.

"Just relax." He said, as he keeps do it.

I relax until my Hiccup make my head go look at my left. I hear some of my bones crack. (Not in a bad way. You know how you roll your head and it cracks. That what Hiccup is doing but in a different way. It feels relief.) I felt relief, as I sign. Hiccup did again, as he told me the same thing. I relax, until Hiccup make my head look at my right. He let go of my head, as I sign in relief. He smiles as he plant a kiss in my cheek. I smiled as I hugged him.

"Thanks." I said, as he nodded.

"Tell the rest of the gang, except Snotloud, to meet at the clubhouse before sundown." He said. I looked him at in confusion the later ignore it.

I walked out of the room, and went out of his door. I walked back to my hut, and got on StormFly. I patted her head as I pointed at the Twins house, as she flew.

We were at the club house, we were waiting for Hiccup, and Snotloud to show up. As they did. Hiccup started to spoke.

"Well, u may be wondering why you guys are here. Well, me and Snotloud made a bet." Oh no, not another one....

"The bet is that Snotloud thinks I can't do 20 push-ups, and I did, I could kiss Astrid, and I don't. Snotloud would lead for one day." I groaned from that last part. I hope that Hiccup could win this bet, I don't want hearing Snotloud telling us what to do.

"I bet on Hiccup!" Tuffnut said, as Ruffnut nodded.

"Well, I bet on......Snotloud." Fishlegs said, as they all look at me.

"I bet on whoever wins." I said, as I crossed my arms.

"Which is me." Snotloud said in confident. I rolled my eyes, as I looked at Hiccup. Please win.

Hiccup get in push-up position, as Snotloud did as well. Fishlegs started to count down, until he hit into zero. They boys started to do push-ups. Hiccup already got to 10 as Snotloud is at 9. As Hiccup started to do in a fast pace, Snotloud starts to get tired. Hiccup passed 20, and he kept going. I smiled, seeing Hiccup beat Snotloud. Hiccup brimmed as Snotloud was trying to get to 20, then he stopped at 18, while Hiccup stopped at 39.

"I guess I won, Snotloud." Hiccup said. Snotloud was bout to say something, but since he was breathless. He didn't say anything.

"So, I guess I can kiss Astrid." Hiccup said in a very cheesy way. I just rolled my eyes, but inside. I'm smirking so badly.

Snotloud got up, and went towards Hiccup.

"Not so fast mister. U haven't beat me." Snotloud said, I rolled my eyes as I did a facepalm. Why would Snotloud never give up?!

"Uh, yes I did. I did 39 push-ups while u did only 18." Hiccup said, Snotloud stand there speechless.

Snotloud grumbles and curse under his breath as he walked away from the clubhouse. I chuckled, as I looked at Hiccup.

"Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss." The twins yelled. We smiled as we leaned in.

As our lips touch, I felt this will never end.
