A/N: okay so just saying I do not promote anything in this book this is just the stuff my mind likes to do when my heart and it fight over whether or not to cry. I DO NOT     Self harm or anything of that sort, nor do I think anyone else should.

Gavin walked into the gym last, as he'd held the door open for the rest of his classmates and his teacher. 'Only three thanks today, and that annoying human isn't here today. Must be sick again, though I don't remember her ever getting sick this easily...' He thought, sitting down in his line and waiting for Mrs. Colling to take attendance, he could hear Rachel and Jordan talking in the line next to him.

"Did you see Anya this morning?" Rachel asked, her brown hair pulled up into a neat-ish ponytail midway up the back of her head.

"No, I didn't. I didn't see her in the locker room either." Jordan replied, her voice hushed as Mrs. Colling started attendance.

Nathaniel smirked, sitting up in the rafters of the gym. He was watching the weak humans run below him, the females complaining more often than the males. "As it should be." He muttered. As you can see, Nathaniel is our sexist little antagonist. A bit racist too, but not in the way of how some humans are. He was racist in the way of actual races, Guardians, Daemons, Hybrids, Gifted and Humans. He hated hybrids and Humans the most, and the hybrid he had it out for was Gavin Thomas.

The whistle soon blew for the warm-up to be over and Nathan took that as his cue to begin his little game. He knew that Gavin thought he was just a lie thought up by the human unconscious and in the air beside him. The Daemon chuckled and remembered that day.

Flashback: Wednesday
February 10, 2016

Nathaniel sat on the floor, happily eating the French dark chocolate he'd gotten for Anya. The Daemon had 'forgotten' that the skinny human couldn't have that particular type of chocolate because she was allergic, and given it to her in hopes that she would eat it. At the moment, the brunette was sitting on her bed with her phone in hand. She was texting someone and he could only assume that it was that wretched hybrid Gavin. The fifteen year old looking boy frowned and snatched the phone from her grasp, reading the texts and then answering a question that the boy had. He used the pronouns I and My so he wouldn't suspect it was someone else. Next he revealed himself and began to taunt the hybrid, soon giving it back to Anya when the boy said 'U screwed up, goodbye now.'

Anya quickly asked how Nathaniel had screwed up, worried that he had messed up her words somehow. It led downhill from there, Anya soon began to sob. The human girl had lost her best friend and almost lover.

--------end of flashback--

Nathaniel clicked his tongue a few times, the kickball that had been previously flying through the air stopping instantly. As did all the humans, only Gavin was left untouched by the freezing of the space time continuum.

Gavin looked around, something obviously wasn't right. A f----ing ball stopped in midair for God's sake! A flash of bright blonde, almost white hair caught his eye from up in the rafters.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked, but it was more of a demand with his tone. The blonde haired boy dropped down from the twenty foot high rafters, not even getting his balance off as he landed on his feet with no bended knees. Something that would have hurt any human's legs to the point of no return.

"Who am I? Well that's a question you can answer for yourself you filthy Hybrid." Nathaniel snapped, his emerald green eyes having a psychotic gleam about them.

"But you were-she admitted-HOW THE F---- IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!!??!" The dark skinned male immediately became confused, a new wave of betrayal crashing into him.

"'She'? You mean this worthless Human?" Nathaniel asked, a willowy figured teen appearing beside him. Her brown and blonde hair floating around her like an unseen wind was softly tickling it. Long eyelashes brushed her cheeks as her eyes rested in a closed state, and a lilac colored nightgown covered her thighs down to the bottom of her knees.

The girl beside him looked dead, but in fact she was still alive. Her pale skin just gave off the impression of the living dead. Gavin however didn't care how she looked, it was her. The annoying human who once had part of his heart, it was Anya there beside Nathaniel looking like she hadn't slept well in weeks or eaten much more than one meal a day.

"Why did you bring her?" He asked, venom slipping into his deep voice. The teen's eyes showed hostility also, burning holes into the daemon's nonexistent soul.

"A bit of fun, I'm sure you haven't realized what she's done to herself because of how she lost you." He explained nonchalantly.

"Done to herself?" Gavin inquired, the tension in his muscles lightened up but he still was prepared for something to happen.

Nathaniel grinned sadistically, turning the floating girl around so her left side faced Gavin. He then grabbed her left arm and pulled it out to the side. Faint scars adorned her inner forearm, spelling out LIAR in crude lettering. Various other scars littered her arm but they seemed to decorate the word. The hybrid opened his mouth to speak, but was shushed by the Daemon before him. Nathaniel then brushed his hand over the scars, at first it seemed like nothing happened but soon small beads of blood poked their way to the surface. They grew bigger by the second, soon trickling down her arm into the floor.

"But wait there's more!" He chirped, pulling up the nightgown to reveal a pair of black spandex and more scars. On her right thigh read the phrase 'LOVE DIES' one on top of the other in the same crude lettering. Her left leg sported various scars of many lengths and redness. Nathaniel did the same brush of the hand to those scars as well and the same result ensued. Lastly he turned her upright and pulled her hair to the side, revealing scars that looked like claw marks.

These scars were not made by Anya, but instead made by Nathaniel. Just for his amusement.
