with every step i tread i'm fearful
making sure that i was careful
of this mess i knew i was getting into
for i was always the one heartache caught up to
checking into every room
peeping for shadows that loom
seeking for intruders
fearing for stealers
then you broke through the window
and landed on your feet like a hero
but from the very first sight
i knew you were a fright
flashing a breath taking smile
in a second you weren't within a mile
but an inch, no a centimeter
and then i wonder how you have come nearer
your lips shadow over mine with mock
a tentative touch, then a passionate lock
my knees weaken at your taste
i pull you nearer without haste
i noticed there was something wrong
realizing the poison on your tongue
i push you back, sensing danger
but you whisper my name, making me waver
closing my eyes, i savor your heat
your taste, your feel, i couldn't resist
then i felt something sharp at my side
laughing wickedly, you jab with all your might
i fall to the ground
my vision starting to cloud
you bend over and kissed me once more
before taking the treasure within my core
i bang my head on the wall
as my cries carry down the hall
i close my eyes as i breathe in deep
trying to stop the tears i weep

Well this is something new. I'm never one to write the "traditional way" but it was fun and very challenging to write this. Great way to spend a night with shitty wifi connection :D
Dedicated to Dominic (SimbaSnickers) :))
EDIT: Okay I should probably explain one thing about this poem. The part about the intruder taking the treasure within the girl's core means that he had ripped out her heart. He killed her, or at least left her in so much pain (the last stanza lol but we all know that she would be dead if this is real life but c'mon this is poetry). That's why if you read the description, the quote has a part that says "when you broke my chest.".
