Rain

Rain is so weird. Wouldn't you agree?

The ocean and lakes all get evaporated, just a bit, into water vapour that then gathers in clumps to form clouds.

Then, the clouds move somewhere else, with the wind, and they release the water in little droplets.

Weird, huh?

When you see it, or stand in it, it's suppose to make you feel sad, right?

Rain is a gloomy thing.

People like to invent things that keep them warm, and keep them dry, but, ultimately, the rain wins out.

Whenever you go for a walk, and it rains, even if you have the biggest coat, or the best umbrella, you come back wet and cold.

Maybe that's why rain makes you feel sad.

Personally, I feel bad for the rain.

Nobody understands it, it's just there, and it does a lot of things that help us.

But, you never hear anyone saying:

"Oh look, it's raining! I'm glad the plants are getting watered!"

Or

"Oh, brilliant! The rain is giving us drinking water!"

Nope.

It's only ever: "Oh. Look at that. It's pouring down and now I feel sad."

Poor rain, pour rain. I feel bad for you. I understand you.

Maybe, just maybe, you can understand me too?

Wouldn't that be neat, huh?

We can just be two fuzzy balls of water vapour, floating around, doing good, and getting bad.

Oh. It's stopped raining.

...

Oh well. Back indoors.
