My heart was beating almost as fast as I was running, aimlessly into these dark woods. It seemed like it was never ending, everywhere was just trees and darkness over and over again, but i still ran. I was filled with absolute terror, I could not determine whether this was a dream or reality, but I prayed it was a dream. With all these thoughts racing through my mind, I lost concentration and tripped on the stump of a tree. I immediately fell to the ground and began rolling until I collided with another tree.
"Damn it, my ankle" I said.
I seemed to have twisted it when i tripped. I got up again, but immediately landed on the ground again, there was no point of trying to get up again, as I knew i could not walk. I sat against the tree trying to tend to my ankle until i heard the sound of a violent howl.
"What the hell is that?" I asked myself.
There was no time for me to sit down and contemplate about all the creatures that could have possibly gave out such a cry. I began crawling on my hands, enduring all the pain i was feeling down below, then I heard it again. It seemed to be getting closer to me and my fear began to escalate, I began crawling as much as I could until I saw someone up ahead in the distance.
"Help me! Help me please!" I shouted repeatedly.
But there was no answer, just a distant shadow figure that seemed to be jeering at my inability to move. I continued my shouts of desperation as i tried to help myself, but it was no use, my ankle was causing me too much pain. As I lay on the ground with my eyes closed, awaiting my encounter with this ungodly creature, I suddenly remembered I had a piece of cloth in my pants. I reached for the clothe and a stick that was nearby, it seemed strong enough. I bounded them firmly around my leg and my ankle to make it more possible for me to move easier. After it was time to try it out, I rose to my feet with aid of holding on to a tree and I began my attempt to walk again. I managed to make four steps until the wood snapped forcing total pressure on my ankle.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!" I shouted.
I tried to get up but I immediately collapsed to the ground, I stayed down knowing I wouldn't be moving for a while. This pain was excruciating and my ankle was now worse, I managed to roll over on my stomach and looked on ahead. The shadow figure seemed a lot closer now but it was still not close enough for me to give any specific descriptions of it. But by this time, I had already assumed that this figure was just apart of my imagination or something that i wanted to be there to save me from whatever it was that gave of that violent howl earlier. I refused to let it distract me further, I grabbed another wooden stick, it was much more durable than the the last. I wrapped my leg quickly and firmly as i could and I got up once more. I now focused on the dark figure ahead of me and I began to limp towards it. I was a few steps in until i felt a tremor, for a while, I thought it was the stick again, but it was still in tact. Then there was a vicious growl behind of me and I immediately froze in the situation. I was beyond the point of being startled, I could not move but, my curiosity peaked and I somehow found the ability to slowly turn my head to look behind of me. There it was, standing at least six feet tall, it was white as snow with a very distinctive black star on its head with purple eyes.
"It's just a wolf?" I thought to myself.
"But why is it so huge, this doesn't make any." I said.
"And how the hell did I find myself here anyways?" I asked.
I began to panic as I did not know what to do, I was still frozen in awe at it's majestic site, it's purple eyes seemed to have me in a trance, I was just focused intensely on them. Then it gave another vicious growl towards me as I was now facing it. I just stood there because there was nothing else I could do. I was gravely injured unfortunately and even if I was healthy, I don't think I'd be able to out run a wolf of this unimaginable size. As my thoughts continued racing I felt something piercing through my stomach, I started coughing up blood but the wolf was still there it did not move until i looked down. I noticed there were five sharp cone shaped objects sticking outside of my abdomen. They were black and slim, I tried to identify what they could be but I was lifted and thrown towards a tree with extreme force. My back came in contact with the bark of the tree first and then I plummeted to the ground, I knew for sure my back was broken and all i could do was watch in front of me. There it was, the shadow figure had now come into plain sight, it was tall and slender and black, to be more specific, matte black. With it's tree like antlers, it stood there in plain sight with a stance ready for battle. It's primary weapon seemed to be it's claws which now had my blood dripping from it, then it gave out a loud cry, a sort of wailing sound that rustled the leaves of the trees in this still forest. The wolf stood there and assumed to what seemed to be a battle stance, the dark figure made the first move towards the wolf but it was thrown back tremendously at the sound of a powerful howl emitted from the wolf. The dark figure gave out its cry again and then I recognized it from common stories told to us as a child about the supernatural. It was a wendigo, well it's features and characteristics matched the descriptions from the stories so i just assumed it was one. The purple eyes of the wolf began to glow and it seemed to have the wendigo in a trance like I was in earlier. It then leaped onto the wendigo and ripped of it's head completely with brutal force. Upon this sight, I felt at some type of ease, and I slowly began losing consciousness. Before I was out cold, I felt an incredible amount of pain and pressure on the left side of my back and chest and then I was flat on the ground. Turning my head to the right I saw the purple eyes glowing towards me again and the wolf started walking away as my eyes began to close until I was completely unconscious.
