  Prussia X Tsundere!Reader ~ Tenth Time's the Charm

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FIRST ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The albino's obnoxious laugh echoed throughout the chaotic classroom. The teacher, finishing early, had assigned the last fifteen minutes of the class to "studying".
Which honestly meant that she sat in the corner with earphones on, as the excited teenagers talked loudly.
"And then the awesome me took mein bruders boxers and got them vet and left them in the unawesome freezer vhile he was at Feli's house."
"Honhonhon, what did your frère do?" his flirty French friend asked, idly resting his head on his hand.
"Oi, Lovino!" The Spaniard Antonio called to the loudmouthed Southern Italian covering the other conversation.
Who happened to be sitting behind you.
"What do you want, you tomato sucker," you cringed as your friend's unnaturally loud voice seemed to rupture your ears.
"I found this cheer up charm."
"Well spit it out."
"Fuosososososo."
Lovino stared at Antonio for a few seconds before turning away and muttering.
"Stupid Spaniard."
"Kesesese." The albino appeared behind you, severely annoying Lovino, "Zee awesome me is giving you the opportunity to go on a date with me."
"She doesn't want to go on a date with you, you stupid Potato eater." Lovino burst out, extremely irritated with the self-proclaimed Prussian.
With a flash Antonio and Francis appeared behind Lovino and pulled him away. You and Gilbert watched as the South Italian cursed at the French and Spanish man.
"Sooo Frau, how about zat date?"
Newp, newp, newp, newp, newp, you were not going to be another one of Gilberts girls that he would tire of in a week. No matter how attractive he may be No matter how much he begged.
"No."
"Vhat?"
"No, non, nyet, nein, ani, nie, ikke. It means to refuse or deny something."
The handsome albino stared at you in shock for a few minutes before opening his mouth to talk. Unfortunately for him the bell rang and Lovino had gotten free from his prison. After angrily stomping over to you he yanked you by the arm and pulled you out of the chair.
"Vait."
"Vaffanculo." Lovino cried behind him as he left the classroom with you trailing behind.
Gilbert stared blankly at your desk for a few seconds before noticing that you left your notebook behind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SECOND ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With an exasperated groan you checked your locker, for a third time. Where on earth is that stupid notebook? Now you were going to be late for class and the teacher wasn't going to buy this excuse and you were going to fail school and become this crazy homeless lady who threw cats at people.

You may have been exaggerating but you were flustered from moving your textbooks around hoping that it would appear.

"Hey, Frau!"

You facepalmed as Gilbert ran towards you.

"Not in the mood Gilbert."

"Zhe awesome me found your unawesome notebook yesterday but you left before I could get it to you."

A blush appeared on your face.

"Thank you Gilbert," your eyes averted from his face as you thanked the Prussian.

"Kesesese, no problem."

After grabbing your textbook you scurried off to class. Maybe Gilbert was an alright guy, you should try to be friends with him.

That was your thought before you opened it up sitting down for class, pencil ready to take notes.

WILL YOU GO OUT WITH THE AWESOME ME?

~THE AWESOME GILBERT!!

This was written across two pages in large obnoxiously neon colours.

"NO!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THIRD ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ouch."
Something small made contact with the back of your head as you was crouched over your book. As you were trying to look around for what it could have been your shoulder was his.
"Who is doing that?"
You muttered before one hit you in the face. A small wrinkly brown fruit lay in your hand.
A date?
You looked up to see Gilbert gesturing wildly at himself before, in a huff; you marched over there and punched him in the face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FOURTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~

It wasn't for another few days that you saw Gilbert again. It was when you were talking with your soft spoken friend Matthew that he bumped into you.

Not saying a word but instead handing you a card before he walked away. You glanced, curious, at the slip of paper.

Gilbert Beilschmidt, Awesome dater extraordinaire.

FREE FOR ONE AWESOME DATE!

With the most frustrated grunt in existence you ripped it up and threw it behind you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FIFTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were shaken awake by your mothers in the morning as she bemusedly asked you to come with her. As you shambled behind her, hair in disarray, you vaguely wondered what she wanted. It wasn't until she opened the front door and shoved you did you see what it was about.
"WILL YOU GO ON A DATE WITH ME? ~GILBERT!" was plastered on your driveway with chalk with the Albino standing there.
"Kesesese, you look cute vith your hair like zat."
You simply went back in the house and slammed the door behind you, the audible sound of the door locking ringing in Gilbert's ears.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SIXTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You tiredly thumped towards your house, school had been especially exhausting today. As you neared the driveway of your house you noticed strange black things on the cement. When you had gotten close enough you could see that they were black footprints. And on each one of them was a chocolate kiss.

'I have no idea where Gilbert's going with this' briefly flitted through your head as you followed the winding footstep path. It lead you into your house and up into your room, where after the door Gilbert stood there arms open wide and said.

"Now zat I kissed zee ground you valked on, vill you go on a date vith me?"

"The day I date you is the day that pigs fly, now get out of my room!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SEVENTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you and Alfred settled into his couch, controller present in both of your hands as the doorbell rang.
"Oh awesome dude, the pizza's here!"
He grabbed the pile of cash that the two of you scrounged up and ran to the door. Lovino worked there as it was his "Nonno's" business. You tended to get discounts from there and the pizza's great.
'Here's your stupid pizza," he spat, jabbing it into Alfred's gut, before grumbling about the fact that he thought you were going to pay.
"Oh hey Lovino," you called from the couch, "who made the pizza?
"Feli did, which is why I'm here, in the stupid heat. Delivering pizzas."
"But your pizzas are better."
With a blush he accepted the money and marched to the car.
"So are you two like a thing?"
"No, we're just friends."
Excitedly you opened the cardboard box while singing slightly.
"Pizza~!"
You excitement quickly died when you saw it.
"Date?" was spelt out in pepperoni slices and on the inside of the lid was a phone number with Gilbert's signature.
"He's really determined to go on a date with you," Alfred said before grabbing a slice,
"How many times has he tried?"
"This is the seventh attempt."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~EIGHTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When you near your locker a box lay in front of it, your name plastered over the top in handwriting you were starting to get really familiar with.
With a sigh you pulled out your keys to rip at the tape. Might as well see what he came up with this time.

As the last of the tape was ripped apart the box flew open and an army of pink balloons billowed out. And as they moved up to the ceiling you followed the pink string and noticed at the end of each.

Was a tiny stuffed pig.

A small smile peeked its way out of the corner of your mind that you hid it, a blush
spread across your face as you turned to see the Prussian.

"Touché, but still no."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NINTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you opened your door a barrage of colours invaded your eyes while balloons billowed out. A hand stuck out of a massive balloon mountain that lay where your bed was.
"Go on an awesome date vith zhe awesome me?"
"No, and stop coming into my room."
"Zhe awesome me needs help getting out."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TENTH ATTEMPT~~~~~~~~~~~

With a sigh you closed locker, the gloomy emptiness of it making you tear up a little. It was always depressing when you had to empty your locker at the end of the year.

'Only one year left'

The thought of leaving this school that you had begun to reluctantly love kind of terrified you. After graduation next year you were to be a University or College student and then it was into the real world. Where you would have to work and pay bills. Also in a year you would leave...

You would leave Gilbert.

You had grown to care for the Prussian albino. The way he would cheekily smile at you as his ruby eyes twinkled with mischief. The way his unique laugh would make your stomach to swoop as if you were on a roller-coaster, twisting and turning uncomfortably.

Who were you kidding, you loved him.

And you missed your chance, after the incident with the balloons he never asked you again.

He would even pointedly stay out of your way after catching sight of you.

Your chest ached at the thought of the albino.

As you lifted out the last book a small piece of paper fluttered down to the floor, you
bent over to pick it up and using one hand opened it.

Meet me at the park at 7:00

It was Gilbert's writing but it seemed to lack his usually egotistical style. Despite your attempts not to, your appearance brightened up.

One more chance.

And you'd have to be an idiot not to take it, so now you were swaying slightly while sitting on the swing. Watching as the minutes ticked by to seven o'clock and then past seven. Tears prickled at the corner of your eyes as the time 7:46 burned your eyes.

'It's not like I was expecting anything any way.'

After a minute of silent crying a new emotion reared its head.
Rage.

'How dare he ditch me, this may be the tenth time but that is no way to treat a lady!'

You whipped out your cellphone and found Gilbert's number in you contacts, from the pizza encounterwhich you might have memorized so you could save it into your phone later without Alfred noticing.

You barely remember what you texted to him but it mostly consisted of swears. It was no surprise that Gilbert immediately responded with a hearty

What?

You launched on this whole spiel on how unawesome it is to ditch a girl after you were the one who asked them to be there at that time. Your thumbs flew from one letter to the other and it wasn't too long before you pressed send.

You waited a few minutes for him to respond before sighing and getting up to leave. Of course he wasn't going to respond, you had just revealed yourself to be a complete nut job.

"Va-vait!"

Gilbert was hunched over, panting heavily. A hand clenched over his heart as he looked up to smile at you.

"Jou do realize I put zhat note in your locker a month ago?"

"Well I only read it today, so this is hardly my fault if you can't even be troubled to
date it."

After a few moments of wheezing he finally stood up straight and walked over to you.

"I thought jou stood me up so I ignored jou, but vhile jou are here zhe awesome me needs to tell jou something."

He grasped your hand, and ran his thumb across your palm. His free hand went up to your face to tuck a stray hair behind your ear.

"Ich liebe dich."

Your face went bright as those words ricocheted throughout your head. He loved you and you knew your feelings towards him.

"I love you too."

With a laugh he grasped your waist and twirled you around before lowering you down so he could connect his lips to yours.

"Vould you go on a date with zhe awesome me?"

Yes.
