Two kids ran around in the forest, running away from the fierce bear chasing after them. The bear roared loudly, making the kids run faster. The young girl yelled in suprise as she tripped on a stone. The other, who is a boy, gasped loudly and ran to help her up.The bear however, did not like it and growled lowly at the boy.The boy, frightened by the low growl, slowly took a few steps back whilst the other only cried loudly at the thought of getting eaten by the bear.
The bear was about to swing his paw to the girl when a flash of light appeared and the bear fell to the ground, unconscious. The boy quickly helped the frightened girl up and hugged her tightly, whispering soft comforting words in her ear. Slowly, the tears began to stop and they soon walked away, leaving the unconscious bear behind.
They wander around, trying to find at least a decent place to take shelter and found an empty dark cave. They went inside and sat down next to each other.
The girl clasped the boy's hands together and closed her eyes, making the boy confused. The girl then opened her eyes and locked her fingers with the boy, smiling sheepishly. The boy blushed but did not say anything.Their fingers interwined for a while before the girl let go and said to the boy,"Hey,what do you think happened to the bear?"The boy, feeling a little disappointed from the lost of contact but kept a calm face, answered,"I don't know. What do you think happened to that bear,Karyln?"
The girl,Karyln, pondered for a while before replying,"Well,I think the fairies did it!"The boy arched an eyebrow,"The fairies?"Karyln nodded,"Yeah.Maybe they are the ones who saved us from that nasty bear!"
"But fairies don't even exist!"The boy protested.
"How do you know that?Fairies are REAL!"
"And how do YOU know that?",the boy pointed Karyln's question back to her.She pouted,"Well..."
"See,you don't know yourself. So,I think you owe me an apology."
"..."Karyln was speechless as she tried to make a reason for the question. She didn't want to apologize to him and she was SURE that fairies are real...
The boy sighed,"You know what?Forget it.I just can't believe you still believe in that fairy crap."Karyln gasped loudly, feeling very upset at her friend.
"You just can't accept the fact that fairies exist!"
"No,you can't accept the fact that fairies DON'T exist!"
Karyln pouted again,"Well,if fairies don't exist, then how do you explain where that light came from?"The boy answered, "Maybe it's just the sunlight or something.""What? That can't be!Sunlight and th-"
"OKAY,THAT'S IT.Karyln,no matter how much you believe in them,they don't exist,okay?!"
Karyln was suprised by her friend's sudden outburst but quickly recovered from the shock."What are you talking about?Of course they're real! That flash of light wouldn't just magically appear!"
"Karyln, stop with your fantasy crap already!Fairies don't exist and they NEVER did!"
Karyln felt herself about to cry at her friend's hurtful comment."B-But..."The boy was suprised when he hears Karyln sniffles.
For a fact,he knows Karyln would never cry over such a thing so he was pretty suprised.
Then, the flash of light appeared again. They gasp loudly at the light before staring at it in disbelief and fascination.
It was a fairy.
Karyln looked at her friend,"See?I told you fairies DOES exist!"
"But how is that possible...?" He asked, still rather dumbfounded at the sight in his eyes.
"Well,I guess that's something we will have to find out ourselves."Karyln said to the boy before looking at the fairy.
"Thanks for saving us from that bear,Ms Fairy!"The fairy smiled sweetly in response before flying away.
The boy looked at the ground,"...Uh,I-I'm sorry for not believing you,Karyln."Karyln grinned at him,"Nah,it's okay." She hugged him, making the boy blush again. He sent her a small smile as he hugged her back.
"By the way, since you were wrong, you will have to treat me to some ice cream." The boy grumbled in response.
