"Mom, I said I don't want the sweater no more. Its too small!" I was complaining to my mother while we were in the middle of packing to move to another house, which I hadn't seen yet.
"Then, why do you want to keep it in your suitcase?" My mom moved her brown, long, curls to the other side of her shoulder. Than fixed her eyebrows and kept looking at herself constantly. My mom was beautiful! I loved her big brown eyes, and her taste in fashion."It's just making your suitcase more squishy!"
"Yes, that's true but I love that sweater its my favorite!" I made a cute puppy dog face at her, and bugged her till she agreed not to throw it. "Okay, You can go get the car warmed up now. I'll change and be down in minutes."
"I'm pretty sure you didn't say hours?" She held her hips, she was used to me taking forever.
"You didn't get old yet! Your ears work perfectly fine." I waved gently and watched her walk out of the room.
"Now its still summer what do I want to wear!" I checked through the clothes my mom left me. A beautiful, blue, baggy dress. That came with a cute, little, black waist belt. Whenever, my mom did this, that meant "wear the dress, the rest is up to you" I said to myself giving a short laugh. I had one suitcase of shoes, yeah a lot! I flung it open and digged around and finally found perfect shoes. They were silver, gladiator heels. I grabbed a small black hand bag. I put on sea, blue makeup and I looked like a celebrity. I grabbed my 3 suitcases and headed off outside.
"Hm," My mom grinned at me. "Looking good! Anyways nice timing 10 minutes, I call 5 an hour!"
I shrugged at her and threw my luggage in the car, like it was a piece of junk. It probably weighed 500lbs all together. "Thanks! Could we stop by Starbucks I really need a mocha?" This was like our routine dress, coffee, done. I hopped in the car noticing the coffee was already there? "That's empty?" I thought it was last weeks since, its my job to take out the coffee and throw it. But I forgot to take it last week.
"Nope, your hours of dressing I went and got coffee. Plus, you know its a block away from home!" We both laughed as she began driving and we sipped up our coffee. I turned my body so that I would face the window and see the houses and amazing sights as we went. I turned on the radio just listening to the varieties of music.
"-Hey! Alright all you Cube93 listeners, you guys know the number go ahead and call, Its your chance to win a.... TRIP TO HAWAII AND $100! Call now before your chance is gone first 5 to call, wins." My mother and I turned to each other yanked out our phones and began dialing. "One More Person!" The man kept repeating. "We got a caller! Hello, what's your name?"
At first I didn't realize it was me till I turned off the radio and he began yelling hello through my phone. "Oh My Gosh!! Oh sorry, Natasha Moore" I said my mothers name so they wouldn't guess I was a child.
"When would you like your tickets to come?"
"Summer" I can tell my mom wanted to go this minute but I got to finish school.
"Okay, we will make that your expiration date-starts June ends September! Bye."
"Okay Bye!" I shrieked after hanging up and danced with my mother in the car. "We won!!!" Then my mother became serious.
"Why'd you say summer? I want to go NOW!?" She stared at me like she wasn't going to let this go till I gave her a straight answer.
"Well, I want to go to school fully instead of miss 3 months of school and be know as the "new girl" I smiled a fake smile to go with my excuse. "Plus, the only reason were moving is for your job! So, be happy."
"You got me." The rest of the ride we were awkwardly silent.
