Falling In Love Is Worth The Pain

part 1

Today is my first day of highschool and I know it won't be as bad as most peoples first day but mines gonna be different I'm friends with alot of highschoolers. My best friend Kay is also new. My old friend maddie's brother who I'm friends with is in 10th grade and he's gonna help Kay and I.

"Bye dad" I say as I get out of the car and he waves back.
I go and sit down under a big tree waiting for Kay. I text her a couple times asking her where she is and I tell her where I am. She comes around the other side of the tree and scares the living shit out of me. I slap her across the cheek jokingly. Now were the type of best friends who hit and joke around with each other. We walk into the main entrance and we have the same schedule except we don't have the same math class. We go to 1st period which is world history. We walk in and find seats next to each other. The teacher Mr.Engel is so nice.
Then the queen bitch walks in with her little fuck boy friends and sit right fucking behind us. I honestly despise her. She believes that she is better than everyone and she's a bitter slut. I glance over at Kay and say "the bitch is back " she laughs. We turn our attention to the board. "Project week" is what the board had written on it. Me and Kay look at each other with excitement except we hate projects but we love working together bc were best friends.

"I will be assigning partners for this project. You will be with someone you don't know. This will make you get comfortable with everyone in this class. I'll make a list of partners right now and you all can give me feedback"
We wait 10 minutes and then he calls us up with our partners.

"Kay, Jake ,and Abby"

"Destini, Valerie , and Brett"
My heart stopped I've hated Valerie since 6th grade and I've had a crush on Brett since 7th grade and I know Valerie likes Brett which means I stand no chance with him. Kay has had a crush on Jake since 3rd grade but he thinks kay is psyco which I can agree and that's why I'm friends with her.
