We soon got bored of the music (how did we manage to do that?). So we just decided to tell each other about some old things we were told as a kid. We talked about the boogeyman and Bloody Mary and ya know, the stuff that creeped us out the most. I brought up one of the old towns legends, surprisingly, Hanna has never heard it before. So I decided to tell her all that I knew about The Silhouette.

*this is Sydney telling Hanna the story*

It was a long time ago, about in the 1980's, and Elise, the town librarian, started to tell them about when she saw a silhouette of a giant man standing right outside of her window on the second floor of her home. She soon then heard her sister crying while opening the attic and running up there. Not knowing what to do, she ran up to the attic and checked for her sister, but she wasn't to be seen. Her mother soon got worried because she heard no noises coming from her sister's bedroom around 8 am, so she checked. Her mother couldn't find her anywhere so she checked the place she dreaded most, the attic. Elise didn't want to say anything at the time, so she just sat and watched. Her mother climbed up he attic stairs and Elise soon followed. Her mother let out a blood curdling scream when she saw her oldest daughter laying in the middle of the wooden floor, skinned. Elise saw the tall silhouette in the corner of the room. She watched it leave through the window and run through the field of corn. Elise didn't sleep at all for the rest of the week because every time she closed her eyes, she saw the giant man figure with the words " Your next..."

*Sydney POV*

I looked at Hanna and she looked like all the blood left her body. Then out of no where we laughed and giggled about the whole thing and just turned up the music some more, rolled down the windows and drove on and on until we finally reached a sign that says "Welcome to Cali"

"WE MADE IT!" I was just amazed at the fact that Im finally living my dream of living with my best friend in my favorite state. I can't even believe it. We got to the apartment complex and went and got the keys to our house. We ran up the stairs and looked inside. I can tell that Hanna's mouth was wide open, mine was too. We had already picked our rooms s we started going down and getting our stuff. I thanked my dad for helping us for everything, and he he gave us enough money for the first 3 months worth of rent. My life got so much better, I couldn't ask for more.
