My feet crunched against the rough gravel. I ran, as fast and as far as I could, but I knew there was no way I could outrun a man on a horse. He had the fastest horse in all the realms. "The Lightning" the horse was called. I'd never seen the horse before, but I'd heard stories of the slickest black coat man had ever seen. My heart rapidly sped up, as I continued sprinting down the "scenic route" as my father often called it. The sun's rays hit my back, and beads of sweat dripped down my forehead. I ran. Step, breath, step, breathe. I ran. Step, Breathe, Step, Breathe. I continued running. It became a pattern in my head. Exhaustion was nearing closer. I needed to find a mental state where all physical activities were ignored.

After sprinting for nearly a mile, the gravel road ran out. "Oh thank lord." I think to myself. I can finally hide. Tall oak trees were in-front of me, at the beautiful time of year, right after blooming season. I slowed my pace a little, in fear of how much longer I'd have to run. Twine and twig cracked under my feet. The birds over my head sang their song, and I scared them away with my thumping feet. I glanced a look over my shoulder to see how much distance the man had gained on me. But he wasn't there. I spun in circle trying to locate him. Had he really lost me? I glared around the beautiful forest, not a single castle in sight. Not even a person. I knew he hadn't disappeared. He had to of been hiding. I focused my eyes and ears for any sight of him. But this man was an extremely skilled huntsman and if he didn't want me to hear him, I would most likely not hear or see him. The only chance I had of survival was to continue running through the dense woods and hope to lose him. I spun around one more time
and made sure the huntsman wasn't near me. Then I sprinted off.
