Chapter 12 - Ty Ty's Bear Hugs

"Those are some tiring stairs to climb," I said in between breaths as I tried to fill my lungs with air again.

I set my things beside me as I reached out to open the front door. Apparently, the bodyguards are still on vacation. Well, it doesn't really matter for now since no one knows us yet. With any luck, it stays that way for the whole season for me. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the first to go anyways.

I push the door wide open so I could walk in with all my stuff and won't need to travel another round to get the rest of my things.

"Wow," I breathed out in amazement. "This place is huge."

I twirled around to try and get a glimpse of everything. That was when a guy with tattoos running down both his arms, wearing a white wife beater and black skinny jeans, and had long black hair and piercing green eyes came running towards the door I was standing in front of. He came up short when he saw me in the way.

"Everly," the green-eyed and tatted up guy asked in disbelief as a wide smile came upon his lips.

"Yes," I question in confusion as to how this random guy I never met knew my name.

"It's me. Tyler," the guy said as he pointed to himself to make sure I understood him.

"Ty?" This time I was questioning in disbelief. "Oh my gosh. It's amazing to finally meet you in person." A huge smile took over my face.

"And superheroes are way better than wizards and warlocks," I told him, mentioning one of the arguments we had over the phone, as I smacked him on his tatted arm.

"Ouch, woman. Don't need to gang up on me," he said jokingly as a grin slipped onto his face.

"Gang up on you?" I tilted my head in confusion.

"Yup! I could totally see it in your eyes. You're a gangster, huh?" Mischief loomed in his eyes.

I shook my head at him. We just meet in person and we were already arguing with each other as if we were old friends.

"Why were you running towards the door, anyways," I asked him once we calmed down in arguing.

"Oh, yea! Snap, I almost forgot. Could you wait for a second?" Worried etched onto his face. "Here let me help you. Sit down right...." He looked from the door to the little lounge area that was under the stairs. "Here." He said making me sit on the lounge he was eyeing a second ago. Once he was satisfied with where I was located he took a step back.

"I won't take long," he said before he rushed out of the huge door, leaving it wide open in the process.

In just seconds, there were crowds of people walking in the house. Some looked disappointed while others were ecstatic.

They must have been the people who crowded the dude that gave me a lift.

Tyler came in through the door while being dragged by the ear by the car dude.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Tyler seethed out in pain. "What did I do?"

"You didn't come to help me even though I told you ahead of time I was coming," car dude said a bit annoyed.

"It's not my fault I was busy meeting my best friend of the whole world for the first time," Tyler said exaggerated.

Car dude let his ear go just for Tyler to put a hand on his hip to emphasis his point.

"Dude, what are you talking about? I'm the only friend you have." Car dude towered over Tyler just by one inch. Which comparing to Tyler, he's pretty tall. At least to me.

"Awe," Tyler pouted and blushed a tiny bit it was barely noticeable. "You don't have to be mean about it. Especially embarrass me in front of her. Even if it is true."

"Don't worry Ty. At least I know that I'm your best friend of the whole world," I said as I walked up to them and gave Tyler a pat on the shoulder since I could reach to pat his head.

Tyler automatically became happy once his eyes landed on me.

"Everly," Tyler said excitedly.

"Doesn't she just look adorable," Tyler said while giving me a big bear hug. "Calibur, this is my best friend, Everly, whom I just meet and Everly, this is my brother from another mother, Calibur." Tyler introduced us without letting go of me.

"Well, it's nice to meet and finally know your name Everly," Calibur said.

"You too, Calibur," I answered back, with my back facing him because for some reason Tyler wasn't planning to let go of me anytime soon.

"Ok, since that is finished. I suggest we leave right now and go somewhere else before Calibur here gets mobbed again and I'll have to fight and defend him."

"Sure, but you're still hugging me."

"Oh," realization seemed to just down on Tyler, however that didn't seem to affect him. "Not a problem."

He then picked me up so my feet would be dangling below me and he started walking with Calibur right by his side.

"I think she meant for you to let her go, Ty," Calibur piped in to help me.

"No one asked for what you were thinking Calibur," Tyler said as he walked a bit quicker that left Calibur to trail behind him. Calibur just shook his head in response with a smirk on his lips.

"Yeah, ok Ty Ty," Calibur said once he was in step with Tyler once again.

"Don't call me that," Tyler said above my head in a harsh whisper.

"What? Why not? I've always called you that before. What's wrong with the name now?"

"It's embarrassing," Tyler whined out.

"So the name I gave you a long time ago embarrasses you," Calibur than put a hand over his heart, feigning hurt. "You just stabbed me in the heart, Ty Ty." He then continued it by wiping a fake tear away.

They continued at it. Bickering at each other about one thing then another just to laugh it all up in the end.

With Tyler carrying me, swaying from side to side as he walked and including his body heat, I was able to drift off to sleep. Since I was still accustomed to the time in California, my sleeping time was all over the place along with my eating time. So don't blame me if I was awake one minute and the next I'm dead asleep, which might possibly happen in the future.

Tyler and Calibur were still going at it when I drifted off to sleep with one thing in my mind: what such goofballs I have as friends.
