Everything seemed to be going well in the parrell world-- well, besides the stars going out and a few zepplin crashes. Other than that, everything was as normal as it could get in a ulternate universe. At least that's what Rose thought when she went to bed that night.

--

Humming to himself as the Doctor did his usual twirling about the console, flicking and flipping switches, and letting the TARDIS guide most of his way. And during all this something caught his eye. Something very... wrong.

"No, no!" He yelled softly to himself under his breath. Running to that side of the console, taking the monitor in each of his hands, looking at the readings on the screen. "No!" He shouted aloud, hands flying up to his hair.

This was horrible- no, terrible, in fact! Running around the consule to one of the other monitors where he typed in the cooridnates. The TARDIS took off with a grinding and forceful start before it was launched out in the other direction, flying through time and space once again.

--

They thought he was gone. Everyone believed and even hoped he was gone. But no, he was not. He was coming back and growing stronger than ever before.

Tap, tap, tap, tap.

It still never stopped, and it never would. He wished more than anything it would, but it didn't. He knew that the drumming is what gave him power, helping him grow stronger and stronger every day, every hour and every moment.

Pacing the floor back and forth, both hands gripping at his head as the drumming became intense. It was as if it came in waves like pain did. But this wasn't like pain, no. It was more than pain.

It was power.

Rose couldn't get to sleep for some reason that night. Shrugging her shoulders, she pushed back the blankets and swung her legs over the bed. Standing up, she slipped on her slippers and made a grab for her bathrobe as she stepped out of her room and walked down the hallway to the kitchen.

Deciding to put the kettle on to make some tea to help herself ease into sleep. As she waited for the water to boil, she stepped over to the window and opened it up.

"Mmmm.." She smiled to herself, closing her eyes and feeling the nice, cool airing tickle her face. But something was off... Opening up her eyes back up, she stared out in the distance. Listening to the eerie silence of the night. Something was off. Something not right at all.
