A year and half later.

“Mama, wake up!”, Zane cried, waking Lillian up and she felt something thrown on her. She jerked awake and held a hand up, grabbing the pillow Zane was aiming to throw.

She groaned and ran her hand threw her hair as she yawn, “Zane Gabriel, don't make me whip your butt if you do that again.”

He giggled knowing she would never lay even a hand on him and jumped on the bed, “Daddy come home, right?”

She frowned and didn't want to explain to him again that everything with Ryan wasn't okay right now. She has tried her best she could to tell two and half year old that his mommy and daddy were taking a break. Zane would just ask again the next time and she felt so bad.

“Not today.”, she said, grabbing his shoulders to make him stop. “But your going over to his house tonight, go see him and grandma and grandpa.”

He nodded, “Yes.”

“Come on, lets go get you something to eat. He should be here in an hour.”, she said.

When she made some pancake and Zane was holding the pancake in one hand, she was trying her best to eat her eggs. She just felt sick though but she does feel like she'll throw up around her period. She picked her fork up and stabbed some eggs, but when she brought the fork up to her mouth, the heavy feeling came to her throat and she groaned, putting the fork down and sighed.

“Mama?”, Zane asked.

She brought her hand up to her chin and forced a smile, “Nothing, Zane, go back to eating.”

She yawned loudly and just decided eating right now wasn't an option.

After Zane ate, she got his bag packed and put on TV in the living room for him to watch until Ryan showed up to get him. It was hard to keep Zane in one spot, so she had to surround him with toys. She went back in the kitchen where she could still see Zane to do the dishes.

Ryan and her got in this big fight a month and half ago over some bills. Some mean words were said to each other and she through her engagement back at him, telling him to take it back, and she couldn't believe she thought about marrying him. Of course the bills argument changed into so many other things they could bring up to continue the argument.

Lillian never meant anything she said to him though. She still loved him, but it was just one of those times she and him needed a break so they would end up hating each other more.

The apartment door bell buzzed. She grabbed a rag and went over to the monitor, “Ryan?”

“Yeah, let me in.”, he said and she pressed the button for him to come in through the doors. It took a moment for him to get up here, but there was a knock at the door. She went over to it and opened it. He was in his usual t-shirt and jeans. “Is he ready?”

“Daddy!”, Zane cried, running over around Lillian and Ryan bent down, picking Zane up.

“Hey little man.”, Ryan said. “What this?”, he said asked, taking the toy in Zane hand. “Who got you this?”

“Grandpa John buy me.”, Zane said.

“Oh, that was nice of him.”, Ryan said.

Lillian turned around and walked over to the couch, grabbing Zane's bag, and went over to Ryan, handing it out to him, “He didn't get a bath, so make sure he gets one tonight.”

He nodded, but of course, brought them up, “When are we going to talk?”, he asked

She sighed heavily and ran her hand back against her ponytail, “Ryan, please—“
