Abeline
I feel the sun shine brightly down on my face. I groan as I try to move my body to get up, only to realize I can't due to the heavy arm hanging over my hips. Rolling over, I see it's the guy from last night. Great. I throw his arm off of me and get up. I grab a cardigan to put over my bra and head to the kitchen. I open the refrigerator only to be met with a medium pepperoni pizza from two days ago. Damn.
I head back to the bedroom to find the guy from last night sitting up putting on his shoes. He smiles, but it quickly fades as I rush him out the door.
"Sorry uh uhm..."
"Calum." he says.
"Right Calum. Yeah you gotta go. See you never." I smile and push him into the hall.
"What? Can I at least get your num-"
I shut the door and go to the bathroom. I slip into the shower, turning the hot all the way on. As the water runs over my hair, I decide I should actually go to school today. The past two days I skipped; I would again today as well but I would rather not have officials show up to my apartment again.
I get out of the shower and brush my teeth. I slip on a navy blue cami with coral shorts and silver sandals. I leave my hair wet to curl up once its dry. I grab my keys and purse and head out the door and head to school.
On the way I stop by Bob's Bagels and grab a bite to eat along with a French vanilla cappuccino. I'll probably be late but its better than not showing up at all.
I pull into school at 9:53. First period started less than forty-five minutes ago. Damn traffic. Can't go anywhere these days. I head straight into hell's empty hallways, not bothering to stop by my locker. As soon as I enter the classroom, I feel all eyes on me.
"Ms. Banks. Finally decide to show up?" Miss Lexington says rudely.
"Yep." I sit down in my seat and open my bag of blueberry and cream cheese bagels.
"Is there a good excuse as to why you are late, as well as showing up without your things? Class is fifteen minutes from being over."
Everyone turns in their seats and stares as I take a big bite our of my bagel while proceeding to take a sip of cappuccino.
"Nope." I say nonchalantly. She gives me a death glare but continues with teaching class.
The bell rings and everyone rushes out of the room. Thank god this will be my last year of this dreadful hell. I walk towards my locker only to be met with Cam.
"Banks." He says while smirking.
"Cam." I say as I open my locker.
"Hm. I think I liked it better when you were screaming it last week." His smirk deepens.
"Oh fuck you," I laugh.
"But to get to the point. There's a party tonight. I was wondering if you want to come? Wouldn't be an actual party without you ya know."
"I'll think about it. Depends though."
"And just what shall it depend on Banks?"
"Well if you must know." I start to grin widely.
"Shit. That's not good." He says with wide eyes.
"Chill. Its nothing bad. I just want to go grocery shopping. And i need your help. Also cook me sausage alfredo? Please!"
"Pft. That's not bad. With the face you made I thought the worst. But yes no problem. When?"
"Uhm after school?"
"Sure but we will need to make it quick. The party starts at nine."
*Ring ring ring*
"Well Cam I'll have to talk to you later." I shut my locker and proceed to my second period.
Along the way I decide to stop by the vending machine for some candy. I know I just had a bagel and all but hey, a girl's gotta eat. I stare at my choices. Hm. What to pick.
"I think the yellow bag of m&m's is a nice choice." A voice behind me says. Its sounds familiar but I just brush it off.
"That's exactly what I was thinking." I answer. I insert a dollar and mash the buttons E2. The person behind me chuckles while I retrieve my favorite candy.
"Oh c'mon. Don't tell me you don't remember me Abeline. Its only been a year."
Realization hit me. No. It can't be. But I was proven wrong as I turn around and drop everything out of my hands with my breath catching in my throat.
"Bl- Blaze?"
