After my detention, I head home and take a nap. I was glad my parents weren't home to question me on coming home an hour late. I wake up and it's already 5 pm. I decide to get started on my homework. So much homework on the first day of school. Thats high school for you.
I finish my homework two hours later. Dinner was ready.
"How was your first day?" My dad asks.
"Fine." I say, hoping they don't know about the detention.
"That's good." He says.
"How was cooking class?" My mom asks. She's always loved to cook and was happy that I was already in the second level cooking class.
"Good." I said. I thought about Nick as we were talking about that class. I don't know what it was, but talking to him made me get that nervous but good feeling in my stomach. He was easy to talk to, and very attractive.
I go upstairs after dinner and go on Netflix on my MacBook. I start watching One Tree Hill, my favorite show at the moment. As I'm an episode and a half down, I get an instagram notification.

Nick requested to follow me? I get an excited feeling. I quickly accept the request and follow him back.
Not much later, I get a DM. From Nick.
