I was woken by the sound of a metal pan and metal spoon being run throughout my bedroom. I slumped my head under my pillows and covered my ears with the ends of the pillows. I'm not exactly the happiest person in the mornings. "Come on Alexia. You have to get up. I told you I'd take you on set with me" my dad called. I groaned and sat up facing him. Giving him a dead look.
My dad was James Dashner. Yes he wrote the maze runner books. And he wants me to help out on the set of the third film today.
My dad was someone special, made a name for himself. But me.. I was just normal. Plain and ordinary 19 year old Alexia Penelope Dashner.
2 hours later we pulled up at the studio in Vancouver. I brushed down my black skinny jeans and wrapped my black leather jacked around my blue shirt. I would rather be anywhere but here right now.
My dad turned to me "Alexia. I know you won't want to, but you can't have any sort of relationship with any of the actors. Got it?" He said giving me a stern look, I looked down at him
"Not even in my wildest dreams" I answered, rolling my eyes, as we walked into the studio.
Thomas' POV
"Hey Dyl..." I said approaching Dylan
"Hey Thomas. What's up?" He replied, looking at me
"Who's that girl? Talking to Kaya?" I said
"Oh her. It's Alexia. She's James' daughter. The one that Ki Hong goes on about all of the time. She's lovely apparently" he replied
"Oh. I've never seen her around here before" I said, narrowing my eyes on the brunette stood next to Kaya.
Soon enough. They were both walking over "boys; this is Alexia. Alexia, this is Thomas and Dylan" she introduced
"Nice to meet you" she smiled, moving a bit of hair out of her face. I was about to shake her hand in response when a wave of ginger hair appeared from behind her. I knew instantly who it was.
"I'll be right back" I said walking over towards Isabella, my girlfriend.
Alexia's POV
"Who's that girl?" I asked turning around "I thought you and Rosa were the only girls on set?" I asked Kaya
"We are" she replied, sighing slightly "that's Isabella, she's Thomas' girlfriend" she continued
"She's clingy as heck" Dylan said moving closer to stand next to us, so the three of us were stood in a line. We watched Thomas and Isabella until I started to feel creeped out at how she wouldn't leave him alone. I walked back over to my dad and sat down in his chair.
"Here. drink" he said handing me a fast food cup. I began to slurp it and I reached for my phone. I began texting my friends about how much I hated this day already. And there was no real need for me to be here.
I was lost in my thoughts when a body stood lingering over me. I looked up to see Thomas staring down at me "are you going to watch us shoot?" He asked, smiling slightly, I rolled my eyes and slumped my drink down
"If I must" I reluctantly answered. Thomas helped me up and we made our way over to the set again. "So.... How long have you been with your girlfriend" I asked. Why did I ask that!? I knew I didn't care, I also didn't want to know about his relationship with her. I was a little jealous. But I wasn't allowed to be.
"Urm.. Two years" he replied looking at me "what about you? Do you have a boyfriend" he asked
I began to shake my head "no. My dad isn't exactly keen on the idea of me being with boys"
Thomas' POV
I found her curious. And I wasn't going to tell her the in's and out's of mine and Isabella's relationship. I thought she'd worry. And I didn't want that. But I liked the idea of her being single. It means I could get to know her without being taunted.
