Pizza boy (UNEDITED)

"He likes you." Alexa teases the second Christopher is out of sight,

"Does not!" I laugh hitting her side lightly,

"Yes, he does! And you two were so flirting!" She exclaims,

"No, we weren't!" I say "he's my ex boyfriend and one of my best friends, I don't flirt with him." I tell her

"Whatever lets you sleep at night." She shrugs,

I sigh and my phone starts to ring, I groan and reach into my bag for my phone and see a text message from Joe.

*Hey pumpkin  :)*  i roll my eyes

*Dont call me that.*

*why not, pumpkin ?*

*Because I'm a mammal not a fruit*

*well you are just peachy*

I sigh as I read it, and see Alexa giving me a questioning look."Who is it?" She asks,

"It's Joe." I tell her,

"Oooh! Maybe I was wrong! What if he likes you!" She exclaims loudly,

"Not every guy I know likes me!"

"Well they sure act that way."she laughs,

"Think what you want." I shrug,

We walk for a little longer before arriving at an old victorian vintage like house. It has a small door on the left side and a large round window seat to the right.

"So what's your cousins name?" I ask,

"It's Mackenzie." She tells me,

She leads me up the stairs to the front door, she knocks twice before opening the door and yelling hello.

"In here!" A sweet voice calls, we walk into the entrance and close the door behind us. We turn left to walk into the living room to see a woman sitting on the couch cradling a small child.

"Hi aunt Cathy! This is my friend Ariana." Alexa says,

"Hi Ariana, I'm Catherine but you can call me Cathy."

"Ok, thanks." I smile,

"She's sleeping right now so I'll leave but when she wakes up just give her food and put on finding nemo. But you have to change her diaper first." She informs us,

"Ok." Me and Alexa say in unison,

Cathy gives us some more more instructions before getting up and placing Mackenzie on the couch. She grabs her purse and walks out the door. Before she can close the door I hear my phone ring, so I grab my phone and answer the call. I say nothing but wait for Joe to speak.

"Hello sugar plum."

"Like I said stop calling me fruits."

"Why? Does it bug you?" He asks and I can tell from the sound of his voice he is smirking on the other side.

"Did you call just to annoy me or was there an actual point?"

"There was an actual point but I was leading into suspense so you can be more surprised when you heard." He tells me

I roll my eyes. "What is it?" I ask annoyed

"For practice tomorrow I can bring a friend and I wanted to know if you wanted to be that friend." He tells me,

"Sure but I need to know when." I tell him,

"Great!" He says "so, what are you doing tonight?"

"Stuff, why?" I ask him,

"Wanna come over and watch some Netflix."

"Joe, I'm not like the other girls you know. I'm not gonna fall in love with you and do stuff with you. I'm a virgin and plan to stay that way for a while. I don't need you to step in the way of that plan. And if you don't want to be my friend because of this than I'm fine with that."

"I'm fine with that." He tells me "but so you wanna come over and actually watch Netflix? Shadow hunters has a new episode on and you might like it."

"In a few hours, I'm babysitting." I agree,

"Great see you then." He says and hangs up,

I put my phone back into my bag and turn around to see Alexa smirking. I giver her a confused look and she bursts out into laughter. "What's so funny?" I ask,

She shrugs and turn away from me still laughing.

That's weird, I wonder why Alexa was laughing.

We put on some music and start working on our chemistry homework. After we finish we go to the kitchen to start making super. I grab the noodles and Alexa grabs the pot, strainer and wooden spoon. We set out everything on the counter, I grab the pot and fill up three quarters of it with water and place it on the stove to boil. Once it boils we place the noodles in it and we wait for it to boil. While we wait we talk about school and after school and I even consider joining the school band and basketball team. As Alexa starts to stir the noodles we hear crys coming from the living room. Alexa goes into the living room and comes back into the kitchen a few minutes later with Mackenzie.

"Mackenzie, this is my friend Ariana, can you say hi?" She asks

"Hi." The girl says shyly,

"Hi, we're making some spaghetti do you want some?" I ask her,

"Yummy." She says,

We set out three bowls and I put spaghetti in each. Alexa grabs the Parmesan and sprinkles it on to the first bowl and we all scream. There is so much mood in the Parmesan it doesn't even have any white areas.

"Why don't we just order in."

"Good idea." I say,

We get on the phone and order a large half pepperoni for Mackenzie and half meat lovers for us. Half an hour later we hear three knocks at the door meaning the delivery guy is here. "I got it!" I say,

I open the door and smile when I see the familiar brown haired, brown eyed guy.

"I didn't know you worked for pizza pizza." I laugh

"Yeah, I just started today." Christopher smiles

"I give you a week." I say,

"I don't think I'll be able to last that long. It's tough and the special request from the pizza men are sometimes awkward." He tells me

"Like what?" I ask

"One of them was to tell them they were pretty so when the guy opened the door it was kind of awkward." He laughs

"Oh god." I laugh

"Anyways, this will be $20.50" he says handing me the pizza

I grab money from my back pocket and wave goodbye to Christopher before turning around and closing the door. We eat and play a few games with Mackenzie. At midnight Cathy comes home and gives me and Alexa both twenty dollars. We grab our bags and walk out of the house in the direction to our houses which I now know are in the same direction.

"So you're going to go hang out with Joe?" She asks me,

"Yes, but it's nothing big we're watching Netflix."

"Netflix and chill?" She grins,

"Oh my god Alexa! I can't believe you said that." I smile "no! No Netflix and chill." I add,

"Ok, but if it does lead to that please use protection!"  She says

"Ok mom." I say,

Once we get four blocks from my house Alexa turns and I keep walking straight. I start walking home to go grab my things before hanging out with Joe at his house.
