He helped me up from that misery of the place that night, in fact he saved me. I were still in the grounds of my other family, I must have underestimated the length of the grounds. Our hands locked tightly together and his first sense changes, at first his large gripping hands felt cold, but now they've seemed to have changed temperature. They were hot, boiling hot. I was so scared that my hands were going to be burnt by his scorching hands but oh he was only trying to help me.
We walked for a while in dead silence but not a slight awkward, I don't know how but I'd never felt so close to someone in my life before. It had only seemed appropriate that I ask his name as who do I address him by other than a pronoun. I stare at his light green eyes longingly, "You know you hadn't told me your name before, I hope that you're not trying to come of mysterious. I've has enough of that today."
"Isaac." He replied bluntly.
"So I guess you're not trying to be mysterious then, you're more...stubborn." I say biting my lips and making sure that 'Isaac' knows I won't tolerate his stubborn answer.
"My names Isaac Hastings, thank you very much, I'm eighteen years of age, I don't find myself very stubborn at all and live 64 seconds away from this very spot. And to be frank, I preferred it when you weren't talking." Isaac said as we walked past a tree which seemed almost identical to the one he found me sitting at.
"I don't care what you prefer or not, but as long as I am alive I will not be instructed around, especially to be silent."
"Well you're about to be under my territory, if this is how you feel then I best be on my way." He just walked. Walked away from me and stranded me out there. Again I was left alone; oh I hated this feeling if only people would just stop leaving me.
Isaac never came back. I had to resort myself to sleeping someone of which I don't know its whereabouts. That tree did poke my curiosity. The same trunks, dents and complexion of the leaves gave off the effect as if it had been duplicated. It still offers me the soothing sensation of belonging which I hadn't felt for a while. Hours went by and my eyes were still chasing the time going by. I ought to myself slumber in honour for me to have an extensive travel back to Ohio.
An extensive slumber is what I did get but I guess my plans back to Ohio were demolished as I wake up in a bed under Isaac's territory I suspect. I rouse from sleep with Isaac gazing fixedly at me.
"How long have you been here for? Actually, how long have I been here for?" I inquire lost once again.
He looked away bashfully and answered my questions, more soft tone today than from yesterday's events. "I've been here ever since I found you out asleep by the Hastwood tree, you scared me you know, you were cold and for a second I could have believed you weren't breathing. We wouldn't like that happen, so they suggested my supervisory."
"We? They?" I asked
"My family of course, In fact I hope they'd like to meet your acquaintance now. Best you get dressed."
"In what? Suppose I go back to Amberwood and obtain my luggage, I guess not." I responded sounding like the stubborn one.
"Don't be daft; I won't let you enter that wicked place again. My mother Eva has a very diverse wardrobe. There should be something best suited to you with the amount of things in her wardrobe."
"Thank you, I know I was rude last night..." Isaac had cut me off.
"Eva is waiting."
Four knocks pounded on the door at once. I left the bed and opened the door as I could see that Isaac had no custom to it. I twisted the handle and made my way out hoping I'd wear more suitable clothes other than these foul drags.
Eva is a very beautiful woman. Her looks can charm a country full of men and be the belle of the ball. She wore a rich purple dress which complimented her skin complexion well, which was a few shades lighter than sun kissed tan. Her hair was short and brunette with a stylish cut; this made her look admirable.
"Now let's get you out of them ugly Amberwood drags and into something which is proper, hmm, how about this?" Eva said as she took hold of an aquamarine dress.
I would never have dared to pick this dress up if it were my choice, I'd find my skin too awkward for it and too risky. But somehow Eva had a perfect eye, a talent almost and it suited me as much as her dress suited her. I followed Eva down to the main hall. It seems they were hosting an extravagant party, at this very moment. She grinned almost like a Chessire cat and stared at me. "Now, to complete your outfit." Eva spoke as she circumferenced my neck and gripped either side of the sun-glazed necklaced, and in the centre, an aquamarine gem stone. My eyes couldn't help but startle.
"Oh no i couldn't possibly accept this, i'm so thankful, but take a precious gem away from you yet i barely know of my." I spoke in a delicate voice not wanting to dissapoint her gracious decision.
"Don't fret, you know me more than you think, all will be revealed in time." Gently she poked my nose and grabbed my arms and paraded me to the end of the hallway.
Eva announced graciously, "Here she is, Savannah has arrived." Never had so many eyes been laid on me at once. I felt almost uncomfortable with this situation. Absolute strangers look at me with such delight with only one way knowledge; they know me, however, I don't know them. Except one set of eyes I knew, a light green pair of eyes. The sight of Isaac made me feel warm and comfortable as he does. I walked myself into the party and hands everywhere waiting to great me. Everyone greeted me saying words such as, "How are you?", or "I've heard of you." or even "You look stunning in that dress." But one seemed to glue in my mind and triggered feelings inside of me. The worst specified manner of "You look so much like your mother." How had he known of my mother, I don't even know my mother? The triggered feelings turn my eyes into waterfalls and leave the party, containing my tears enough that I don't explode into tears in front of the curious guests.
I tried to find the most undisturbed place in the house. It was a little broom cupboard on the other side of the hall from the party, someone how not undisturbed enough. Isaac came in shutting the door behind him. This sent an icy feeling down my back as it reminded me of the time Evelyn shut me up in that room. Hopefully Isaac won't deceive me, but how could he? He rescued me from the mysteries out in the dark last night; it had seemed that Isaac may have found a soft spot for me, which I liked.
"Don't cry." Isaac said imperatively wiping away the tears from red blemished face.
"What perhaps do you expect me a being to do when one is upset?"
"Don't be upset." He kissed me ever so gently, his one hand on my waist; he didn't want me to be upset. It was so surprising that he knew the new found remedy for my upset. "I have to, um...go now." His hands turned cold and he moved rapidly.
