Phil
" two caramel lattes for Caitlin and Astor!" Chris grinned over at me as he gave me the order, it was nice working with him.
"Thanks crabstick."
"That's a dumb name." I passed the girls their drinks and smiled at them. The bell rang as the door opened, Dan walked in in minty green, he had a white and mint green crown with normal green leaves on and dip dyed mint converse.
"Hey Dan!" I waved and he walked up to Chris,
"Hi, Chris right? Phil's told me all about you." Chris blushed.
"And you must be Dan, I like your flower crown."
"Thanks, can I have a mint tea please."
"Sure, Phil! One mint tea for pastel boy."
"Can do." Pressed about a bajillion buttons and poured the hot tea into a matte mint green Starbucks cup. "On me."
"Thanks, I better head off, it was nice to meet you Chris."
"Bye!" Chris waved as Dan left before turning to me. "He's a weak little dork."
"Hey! That's my friend!"I glared at Chris, outraged.
"I'm sorry, I just can't shake the feeling that he likes you." He frowned as he spoke.
"Well it doesn't matter because I like you!" His face softened when he heard me.
"I can't wait for our date! Let me tell you, perks come with dating the son of members of the senate." He kissed me on the cheek.
"I'm so excited." I took off my apron and hung it up. "I gotta go, I need to work on my school stuff, see ya tonight."
"Bye"

Chris was stood in front of the rink, he had a box in his hands that was wrapped in iridescent blue paper and the sun setting gave everything a purple aura. I walked over to him and hugged him. "It's so great to see you, this is beautiful!"
"I got you this, I thought, if we're going to skate, we're going to skate right." I carefully prised off the paper and put it in my pocket, it had given me an idea for school. Inside was a black shoe box which I slowly opened, before me were two matte black skates with electric blue lightning bolts down the sides.
"Thank you so much! these are the best, you're the best." I looked around, where the long cue normally snaked was an empty path surrounded by fairy lights. "Where's the extremely long cues?" He tapped his nose.
"As I said, perks." He took me by the hand and inside the rink. Dan had waited three hours to get me a ticket and here I was walking in without a seconds wait. When I saw the rink I gasped, Chris had rented out the whole rink and blue light dazzled the floor. Just for us.
"This is so pretty!" I put on my new skates and gave them a try, pirouetting just like Dan taught me.
"Wow! You're good! Let's dance." And we went on like this, my head was still buzzing when I got home.
