Michael
After hearing that my girlfriend was in a coma, medically induced or not, it still wasn't something I wanted to hear. I had tears falling as Amanda led me to her room; letting me know I was more than welcome to go in and sit with her. I hesitantly opened the door and stepped inside, being met with monitors beeps and a dripping noise.
My head stayed down as I walked to a chair placed beside her bed. I didn't want to look up because I didn't want to see her as hurt as was described to me. Instead I grabbed onto her hand, feeling the limpness of her body. I brought her hand to my face, placing a swift kiss to her knuckles.
"I'm sorry, baby."
News of what had happened spread around ever talk show and media outlet; and everyone wanted to know what had actually happened. A lot of people were making up things that were false and there were people who didn't believe anything that they read; or thought that it was a publicity stunt. Reporters and fans lined the entrance to the hospital to try and get a glimpse or word from anyone who knew the two of us.
I had stayed in the room the most out of anyone. I didn't want to leave my girlfriend alone, not after what Mason had caused. Ashton had been around a lot, bringing everyone things that we needed. Nicole had tried multiple times after the hospital, to get a hold of Savannah's parents but neither one had picked up. I hated to say it but the last time Nicole hung up from a call that went unanswered from them, I knew that her parents were people who shouldn't have had kids if all they were going to do was ignore their daughter. Here their daughter was, hurt and they're nowhere to be seen or heard. It was truly pathetic.
Breanna had come by and seen Savannah, no staying too long because she needed to talk with a lot of people; no doubt in my mind was that she was going to talk to Terry. I knew that things were now going to change; the thought already scaring me.
What would Savannah be like when she wakes up? Her doctor said that she'd be really sensitive and have a lot of things going on but I knew Savannah was a fighter and no matter what was thrown at her, she'd battle through it.
Savannah
My body hurt, not one single part of it being left out. My eyes seemed heavy as they blinked open a few times; the light being the first thing I saw. They were dim enough to be able to see but not hurt my eyes. What caught my eye next was that my room was empty. I had figured that Michael had been here because a lot of his stuff was littered across the room.
I gave a small smile at the thought of him being here but now I was quite curious as to where he had gone.
Scanning my surroundings again, I noticed the blue nurse's button on one side of the bed. Softly, I pushed it to let them know I was up. A few seconds later a young looking nurse walked through the open doorway.
"Ah, Ms. Whitley. It's nice to see you up. I'm Amanda and I'm your nurse. How are you feeling?" She walked over to the machines beside me, checking them and writing stuff down on a clipboard. My eyes starred at her blue designed scrubs while I answered.
"Sore, very sore."
"I had thought you'd say that. I've paged your doctor and let her know you were awake. She'll be here to check you over and see if you need a different dosage of pain medication."
Moving away from the heart machine and instead coming closer to me, checking my IV and then blood pressure. From behind her a short older woman walked into the room.
"Good afternoon, Savannah. I'm Dr. Paige. I've been treating you for the past few days. How are you feeling?" Her dark brown hair was covering one side f her face as it fell down to her shoulders in tight curls.
I gave her the same answer as I had previously told the nurse. Dr. Paige came over and got the board from Amanda before glancing through the pages.
"Amanda, go ahead and up her dosage." She told the nurse, having made her have to go get another bag of fluids. As the young blonde was walking out the door she bumped into someone.
"Sorry sir but you'll have to wait until the doctor is done speaking with Savannah."
"She's awake?" I heard Michael's voice rise before he started talking really fast about needing in the room to see me. His rant was cut off by the door being closed, and it made me picture Mikey on the other side with a pout on his face.
I rushed through the questions I was being asked, and getting scolded for not paying attention meaning that Dr. Paige had to ask them over again, but I didn't care; I just wanted to see Michael.
I had heard everything that had happened during the confrontation at the beach house and what was said during comatose state while here and I wanted to let Michael know that my feelings were the exact same for him.
When I was finally done being asked question the doctor she wrote in my chart before telling me all that was wrong and what they were giving me to help me heal.
"The medicine that we're going to administer causes drowsiness. I know you want to see your friends but getting your health back up is my number one priority right now so if you feel sleepy, don't fight it; you need your rest."
Nurse Amanda came back in with a tray full of different syringes, putting them in through my IV. After the last one was injected, I felt the tiredness appearing immediately. Going against the doctors' orders, I fought the sleepiness until Michael was let back in.
"Remember to rest, Savannah." I was reminded again as the two woman left the room and Michael entered the room not even a second later and to my side. My eyes were dropping, desperately wanting to close but I knew that I had to do this before I went to sleep.
"Savannah." Michael breathed, face full of concern as he looked into my eyes. His face was just close enough for me so I reached out and gently took his face and pressed my lips to his.
"I love you too, Michael. So much."
Sorry that it's been so long since the last update, it'll most lost likely be another two weeks until another update is available. Sorry.
