its been known for a shifters to and mates not of their own species, for example humans. and sometimes to the vampire generation. its rare that a vampire will be mates to a werewolf, but it still happens; and humans, it happens a great deal of the time.  

the situation we were in at the moment was astonishing, because my family were born with vampire mates, which means that it will be extremely rare that someone will be mates with a wolf.  

this is why i had to save her... i couldn't just sit there whilst her dad beat her, Im not like the alpha, or any other person standing around them. i had a meet deep inside me, giving me the emotions i needed, and i was ashamed of this pack, ashamed that they would go as low as to watching a weak girl get beaten by her overpowering dad. 

not happening! 

i could even feel the pity from him as he found out that i was the pack beta, and what made it worse for him was that i had ordered him to leave. and i stopped him from punishing his daughter. 

when he had left i scooped up the girl in my arms and carried her to my room. i fixed up her wounds and and was now cleaning the blood up from her broken face.  

she was so beautiful it made ever so angry that everyone watched such a pretty girl get tortured. 

it was wrong. 

there was a knock at the door, and by the scent flowing in the air i knew it was the alpha. 

"Alex? may i come in?" his voice echoed through the now empty house; shortly after taking the girl upstairs the alpha had excused everyone to their homes. only those who lived here were still downstairs. 

"yes, alpha." i said, still wiping of the red liquid from her face. 

as alpha entered he said, " does it not bother you, her blood?"  

i shook my head, " no, she is my mate, her blood is not a temptation for me." and also because I've lived around blood for so long Im use to it. 

a heavy sigh escaped alpha, " you do know that she has to go home? she can't stay here, its not her place." 

i hissed at the thought of her going back to her farther, " she can stay in my room," 

" Alexandria, as your alpha i am telling you now, she can not stay here! as soon as she wakes she is to go home, she belongs with her farther, not to us." 

"then i will go with her, i am not letting her alone with that beast! he will kill her!" i hissed, turning towards the alpha, who growled. 

" fine. you may go with her.but," always a but! 

" but?" i said. 

" but if i have any trouble from you and her dad, you will be ordered to immediately come back here, without abbi."  

nodding my head, i went back to cleaning her small face.
