"What about that diner downtown?" Sam asks.
We were currently driving around, looking for a good place to eat. My stomach was growling insanely in hunger. It felt like I hadn't eaten in two days.
Literally.
"Can we just please pick a place?" I groan a little harsher than intended. I just needed some food in me.
"I heard there's a good burger place right up here." Dean points, as he pulls into the intersection in the middle of the road.
I follow his outstretched finger and see a sign towards my left reading 'Freddy's Burger's'.
So creative.
But at this point I couldn't care less. I give him a quick nod before he pulls in. He swings into park at the first available spot and we all pile out of the car.
"You know, I never asked, but what kind of car is this anyway?" I ask Dean, curiousness seeping in my voice.
I had never been much for cars, and I surely didn't know a thing about them. But this one seemed so nice as I looked at it for what seemed like the first time.
"A '67 Chevy Impala." He replies, a grin instantly rising up on his face. I laugh, as I couldn't help but compare him to a little kid who had just woken up on Christmas morning.
Gosh, he was so cute.
Wait, did you just call Dean cute?
"She's a beauty, isn't she?" He smiles, patting the car like it was a show winning dog.
"Definitely." I agree, enjoying the excitement still plastered on his face as we walk inside. Sam holds the door open for us, and I reply with a gentle "Thanks."
"No problem." he shrugs, giving me a warm smile.
The air inside smelled crisp of onion and sizzling meat, causing my mouth to water. I could hardly contain my excitement as we sat down, bouncing up and down in my seat to help with the hunger pains which were out of control. Sam sat beside me in the booth while Dean sat across, staring me down in an uneasy way. A smile played across his lips.
"What?" I ask, as I continued to bounce up and down. He just laughs and shakes his head, causing me to tilt my head in confusion, my dark hair trailing over my shoulders.
I was wearing a dark purple top with light washed jeans. The boys had decided to go out and get me some clothes after I refused to wear my tear stained t-shirt and overly baggy sweatpants out. To my surprise, I was happy to see that they actually picked nicely. After worrying about Dean for an hour, afraid he'd show back up with a stripper outfit.
"Nothing, you're just-"
"I'm just what..?" I ask, stopping in my seat to stare at him. He shifts uncomfortably and looks away.
"Just... hungry." He shrugs, mumbling.
I giggle, taken back by his weird comment. "What does that even me-"
"Hi guys, nice to meet you, I'm Lisa and I will be your server today," the woman cuts me off with a smile as she approaches our table. Her eyes peer over each of us slowly, yet stop as they meet Dean. I watch as an instant blush appears on her face.
