The Boy

One day as I was walking home from school I saw a man walking his dog he looked like a nice man oh wait that's a boy my age I went up to him and asked if I could pet his dog he said yes we talked for awhile and he walked me home his name was Caden Copper. He is new here so I asked him inside.

"Hey mom are you home?" I said. No answer.

We walked into the living room she was sitting there on the couch and listening to music I taped her on the shoulder. She looked at me then at Caden she took off her headphones and said

"Who is this"

"This is Caden he's new here and I was just going to ask if I could show him around" I said pointing at him.

He smiled and said "Hello miss I just like a couple houses down if you want to talk to my parents"

"I would love to we could have you over for Dinner if you can ask your parent that would be lovely" she said with a smile

"So that is a yes to showing him around" I said waiting for an answer

"Yes be home before dinner tho"

"Okay" i answered

We walk out he graded his dog and we went over to his house to meet his parents. We walked in and his parents said

"Caden Copper where were you you had a time to be home and you were about 15 minutes late do you have an explanation Mr."

They walked into the living room where we took off our shoes and they stopped and looked at us.

"Hello what's your name sorry for yelling at him I didn't know you were here" she said

"It's fine it was my fault he was talking to my mom and my name is Zaylee Canton I live next next door"

"Oh well that's nice" she said smiling at me

"Ya my mom was wondering if you could come over for dinner?"

"I would love to we were going to go out for dinner but that sounds more fun"

"Ok come around 6:30"

"We'll be there"
