Luke had lost his son.
Don't ask how, he just had.
He put his son down somewhere when he was on the phone and managed to lose him.
Well fucking done, Luke, well fucking done.
Luke was currently looking for his 10-month-old baby backstage, frantically asking everyone he saw if they'd seen him, however people just solemnly shook their heads and told him that they'd have a look.
Luke tugged on his hair as he sat down, tears starting to slip out of his eyes.
I can't do this he thought to himself I'm such a bad father.
Then he started to think the worst.
What if he's been kidnapped? What if he's dead? What if he's hurt and is crying but nobody can hear him?!
Luke jumped up from the chair, a new burst of motivation spurting through him, and he started to run to the cafeteria to see if he could find his son there.
However, he had no luck.
In fact, he couldn't find his son anywhere.
With a heavy heart, Luke made his way back to the dressing room, tears sprinting down his face as he pushed open the door. Luke walked into the room and stopped dead in his tracks.
There on the sofa was Luke's son, asleep on Michael's lap whilst he was playing Call Of Duty.
Luke stormed over and spat "Baby. Now." Michael looked up at Luke's red face and silently handed him the baby, slightly scared. Luke snatched his son out of Michael's grip and stormed over to the other sofa, which he collapsed onto, cuddling his son close to him as he tried to stop his tears.
"I thought I lost you" he whispered to the baby "I'm such a bad father. I thought I could do this by myself but I can't, I can't"
Michael felt his heart crack as he watched his best friend rock himself to stop the tears and got up, walked over to Luke, then sat down next to him. He pulled Luke into his chest and patted his head, messing up his hair.
"You're not alone, Luke. You've got me, Ashton, Calum and our crew. So don't you dare think you're alone, because I'd never ever make you face something this big by yourself" Michael said, pulling Luke tighter.
"Thank you, Michael" Luke whispered as his sobs started to calm down.
After a while of hugging, Luke spoke up. "So, you're not going to let me face this alone?"
"Never."
"Then can you change his nappy for me?" Luke asked, looking at Michael.
"Fuck off mate"
