Chapter 3~Avoiding

The rest of the day seemed to go quickly (which was a good thing). As soon as the final bell rang, I ran to my locker, got my bag and left.

I walked home with quite a pace. I should have told Riley.

I kept avoiding her all day, because I knew if she spoke to me, all I would hear is:

"Maya what was that about?" Or "Are you ok, Maya?"

Eventually, I was home. I ran upstairs and flopped on my bed.

I wrote in my diary all about today.
Well, until my mum came into my room.

I stared at her.

She stared back.

I didn't need to remember what I was going to ask my mum... I had been rehearsing it all day...
