Harry's POV

She was finally mine. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

Three years ago, I went into the town just to look around. While people-watching at the park, I noticed a beautiful girl. She had brown hair and dazzling brown eyes. The day I saw her, she was skateboarding through the park. She had headphones in and I, with my amazing sense of hearing, could hear every word to the song that she was listening to. The Rose by Memphis May Fire. (Which is a really good song that you guys should look up ;) )

The wind was blowing her hair around and when her scent finally reached me, I was stuck. Trapped and in love with this magnificent creature.

For the next three years, she was my life. Watching and protecting her was basically my job. I watched as she made her way through high school, dye her hair for the first time (which was now a radiant red that I absolutely adored). My favorite time was when she got drunk for the first time at a party, which was very entertaining. Even though it pissed me off that every guy was flirting with her, it was intriguing how she didn't even notice. She continued her night, not giving a damn about everyone else. Plus, she was pretty damn cute when she was drunk.

On her 18th birthday, I made the decision that she would be mine. I would get her soon. When I found her and her friend walking in the woods a week later, I made my move. I brought Niall along so that he could take care of the friend. I didn't want to bite Lyric, but she just wouldn't stop her damn screaming.

I led Lyric into the bathroom. I pulled two towels out of the cabinet and set them on the sink.

"Here's two towels. There's girly soap in the shower, a toothbrush in the drawer by the sink, along with hair ties and those weird clip things girls put in their hair. When you're done, I'll be out on the back porch so come out there. Uh, please." I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to calm myself down. Why is this so hard to talk to her?

"Thank you." Lyric said, keeping her head down.

I sighed, exiting the bathroom. Was she going to hate me forever?

Lyric's POV

As soon as Harry shut the door, I locked it, not taking the chance of someone coming in. Oh, who am I kidding? They're not human, they'll just knock the door down.

After I was done in the shower, I threw the clothes on that Harry gave me. I looked in the mirror. My eyes had had dark circles underneath them. I tilted my neck, and I was surprised. The bite marks were gone, but in place was a mark. It looked just like a birthmark. I sighed, brushing my hair over my shoulder to hide it.

I unlocked the door, slowly opening it, and peered out into the hall. Nobody was there so I stepped out.

I found my way to the back door. I opened it and Harry was sitting on a porch swing, another man sitting in a chair across from him. It was one of the men that was in the living room with Niall.

When Harry saw me, he stood up and walked over to me. I took a step back, out of habit.

He put his arm around my waist and I froze. "There you are, Love." He pulled me tighter to his side, then he leaned down to whisper in my ear. "Don't make me regret letting you out of the room."

My hand starting shaking. Then my arms. Then my whole body. Calm down, Lyric. You don't want to be stuck in that room.

"Lyric, this is Liam. He's basically the second in command here." Harry said, moving us closer.
