Life. It's a funny thing. It's basically the road to death. Death is what everyone waits for. The sooner you get there the sooner the suffering ends.

Standing outside of my window this is what I realized. I was going to end the suffering. The faster it happened the faster I would be happy again.

I was happy once. I was seven. My family was, well, a family. My mom and dad were happily together with my older sister Cash, my little brother Chandler, and I. We were inseparable.

Until my mom caught my dad having an affair with her sister, Monica. My mom's heart broke. She watched them sneak away every night and every night she died a little inside.

One day Cash and I went out into the kitchen together and saw our mom dead sitting in a chair facing the window.

She finally escaped, I'm sure she's MUCH happier now.

After that dad married Monica despite my siblings and I's opinions. We were living with him and Monica and things were looking good. They had twins one boy, one girl, Caden and Courtney. They both loved us. We seemed like one big happy family.

Until dad decided to run away with Monica and  the twins leaving me and my siblings all alone. Luckily Cash was old enough to be our guardian otherwise we might've been separated.

I'm living with my siblings now. I'm 21 and have had many attempts at suicide over the years. I have scars on my thighs, so I can't wear short shorts or skirts.

Even though I have my siblings I feel like I'm alone. Alone in this world on the road to death waiting.

Why wait so long. I could end it right here and finally be happy again.

My thoughts drifted off as I stood on the fire escape railing outside of my window.

I stood there and looked down at the people hundreds of feet below.

I was on the fourth floor of my apartment building looking down at the hundreds of people that weren't as far as I thought.

Seeing the people I wondered what was going on in their minds, in their lives. Are they juggling four jobs to feed their family? Are they carelessly throwing money wherever? Are they just like me waiting for this long journey to end?

Some of them looked like they were looking at me but they just kept walking as if a girl getting ready to attempt suicide was normal in their everyday life.

One particular group looked like they were staring at me but I knew it was nothing. Bending my knees I got ready to jump into my new happiness until I heard a voice.

"STOP!!!!"

Vikk >POV<

I was walking home with Mitch, Jerome, Lachlan, Rob, and Preston when I heard Mitch say something. I couldn't quite make it out but it seemed panicked.

"What's wrong Mitch?" I asked.

"Look!" He said pointing up.

I looked to where his finger was pointing and saw a girl standing on the railing of her fire escape. Oh no. She's gonna jump.
