OH. MY. GOD. I HATE THIS. LIKE LEGIT HATE THIS. THIS IS THE REASON FOR MY HATE IN THE WORLD AND HUMANITY.
Lets take The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT. UGH. I CANT EVEN TYPE CORECTLY FOR THIS. Please excuse all the caps but this movie adaptation really pisses me off. I read the books when they were first coming out and loved them. They're magical and honestly the best fantasy series I ever read. Then I hear there's gonna be a movie and the fan girl inside me freaks out. I mean seriously? I had this whole image in my head and I thought "wow, this gonna be great!"
IT WASN'T.
DAMMIT. WHAT MADE THEM PICK JAMIE CAMBELLE BOWER AS JACE? WHAT DRUGGED THEM ENOUGH TO PICK HIM? ALEX PETTYFER WAS PERFECT FOR JACE. PERFECT. HE WAS THE ONE I IMAGINED FOR JACE. IF YOU READ THE BOOKS IT WOULD LIKE DEAD OBVIOUS. LIKE WHAT THE HELL CASTING DIRECTOR. ??? ARE YOU STUPID? ARE YOU BLIND? OR ARE YOU JUST FLAT OUT DRUNK? GOD THIS MAKES ME SO MAD. AND HIS EYES. THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE BLUE. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. GREEN. THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE GREEN FOR SHITS SAKE.
THEN THERE'S CLARY. Clary. Clary. Clary...
SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE A RED HEAD. A FIERY ONE. NOT ONE WITH SLIGHTLY RED HIGHTLIGHTS. DAMMIT. THATS WHAT THREW ME OFF THE MOST. NOT TO MENTION SHE'S SUPPOSE TINY. LIKE PETITE AND GIRLY COMPARED TO ISABELLE. SHE'S THE SAME FREAKING HEIGHT AS HER ADN THEY DONT EVEN TRY TO HIDE IT.
I think they did a good job on Alec, Isabelle, and Simon. But Alec and Isabelle could've looked more alike. The person I haven't seen is Magnus Bane. I SWEAR TO GOD IF HE DOESNT LOOK LIKE THE LOVE CHILD OF EDWARD CULLEN AND MADONNA IM GONNA FLIP OUT AND SET THE WORLD ON FIRE.
This book had so much potential and 'wow' factor. it just makes me cringe seeing the commercial or a picture. Ugh. Im gonna go into cardiac arrest because of this rant. But on a lighter note, a book(s) that has an amazing and glorious movie adaptation is Harry Potter. They got everything perfect in my eyes and it just brings tears to my eyes. I WISH IT WOULD NEVER END. I had to say that because if I didn't, everyone who would read this would think I'm Grumpy for Snow White.
