Flashback

"Hey, Finny", I greeted excitedly. It has been a few months since we have seen each other at the game and so far we have been able to keep our promise. He looks worn out but he still looks so handsome.

"Hey, love", he mumbled before he yawned

"Hey, love", he mumbled before he yawned. I frowned feeling guilty that he was tired. There is a time difference of 8 hours and here I am Skype-ing him at 2 a.m. there and 6 p.m. here because I wanted to talk to him. I wanted to hear his voice and see his face. I was being selfish.

"I am so sorry, Finny", I mumbled and watched him raise a brow at me. "For what, babe?", he asked looking confused. I sighed, "For keeping you up. You look so tired and worn out and here I am calling you because I found myself missing you again", I mumbled. He smiled tiredly while shaking his head. "I miss you too. I'm fine. I was already up, can't sleep", he responded and I could feel worry begin to bubble up inside of me. "'M fine, Ana. Do not worry about it, love", he tried assuring me but it really was not very believable when he looks the way he does.

I sighed again and just dropped the subject all togther not wanting to argue with him. "What have you been up to since we last talked yesterday? How was your day, Fin?", I asked changing the subject. I smiled at him through the camera as I watched him as he explained his day to me. The way his eyes lit up as he talked about playing in a futbol and laughed at his friends and their sticky situations that they had gotten themselves into. In that moment I knew. I knew that he was happy back home and that hurt.

"Love, what's wrong?", he asked in the middle of telling me about how badly he shook his friend, Damien. I shook my head, "Nothing. You seem happy. I'm proud of you, Stephen", I said quietly. He just stared at me like he did the day we met when he was 10. Now here he is 17, nearly a man yet so boyish. "I am, but are you? Does it bother you that I am happy?", he responded. "No and yes", I whispered.
