Not Today

Chapter 3

'This is disgusting Josh' I laugh, spitting the food back on my plate.
'Hey it's not thaaaat bad' he says, shoving chicken into his mouth to prove his point and trying to hide the fact he is disgusted. 'Mmmmm yum' he says in a timid voice making us all laugh. I look over at Georgia who hasn't said a word since the bedroom and give her a comforting look.

I leave Josh, Ruby and Tyler to clear away and go to find Georgia. I spot her sat on a rock next to the lake with her feet dangling in.
'You okay George?' I ask as I approach her. She looks up from her day dream and nods with a sweet smile. 'No your not, tell me' I insist with a firm yet comforting voice'
'It's nothing, go, enjoy yourself' she hushes me away but I don't budge.
'I can't enjoy myself when you aren't happy' I say and sit next to her 'talk to me' I say cocking my head to the side. 
'What are we going to do now?' She asks, her eyes watery. I look at her with furrowed eyebrows 'you and Tyler are going to America to live your film life in Hollywood, Rubys going Birmingham, where does that leave me? We are all breaking away and I don't like all the decisions we have to make and leave everyone behind' she whispers. I wrap my arm around her, comforting her 'and I'm a third wheel which is never nice' she laughs awkwardly
'Make the most of now, cheer up George please' I beg 'me and Tyler will still stay in touch, and I'm sure ruby will as well' I say, hugging her. She looks up at me and nods with a small smile.
'Okay'

*5 Hours Later*

'Josh! Dare' I say alerting Josh from his own little room 'I dare you to jump in the lake' I say and everyone rolls their eyes 'what! I can't do dares'
'Naked' Tyler inputs, stirring it up more.
'Okay, you're on' she says ripping his shirt off over his neck and throwing it onto my face. He runs outside taking bits of clothing off as he runs and we all follow. He stops at the Rock on the edge of the lake, hesitant to jump 'it's cold' he whines making us all laugh. He removes his boxers and stands closer to the edge.
'It's okay you don't have..' Ruby stops herself by pushing him in, his screams and cries almost drowns out our laughter.
'I thought I could trust you, you're my girlfriend' he says whipping his red wet Mohawk to the side 'it's freezing' he squeals.
'Quick Josh I can see a flashlight. No one wants to see your bare ass in good light' Tyler laughs as Josh climbs out of the water. He quickly gets changed and we all rush back to the cabin, not wanting to talk to anyone.

5:32pm

I start unpacking my suitcase and pull out some sweats for later to lounge in, and pull out Tyler's as well. I begin putting our stuff into the wardrobe when I'm interrupted
'I'll get it' Ruby shouts, I walk down the stairs to see who it is, meeting Tyler and Josh halfway with Georgia standing at the bottom.
'Help me' a man bursts through the door, clearly drunk, stumbling all over the place. 'Help yourself, get out of here' he says grabbing Ruby.
'Get off her' Josh yells pulling Ruby back and pushing the man away until he falls. He falls flat on the concrete slab outside. 'You okay?' He asks Ruby, hugging her.
'Um Josh' Georgia says timid. 'He's not moving' she starts walking closer to him. 'There's blood' she says, her voice shaking. Tyler walks towards the man making my heart stop so I grab his hand and pull him back
'Be careful' I say looking straight into his eyes. He creeps closer and kneels down beside him. All eyes on Tyler, he checks his pulse with two fingers and his eyes widen.
'He's dead Josh YOU KILLED HIM' Tyler shouts 'what are we going to do, we can't just leave him here' he gestures towards the body.
'He was attacking Ruby, what else would I do?' Josh defends himself.
'I know, I know, I'm sorry' Tyler says putting his hand on Josh's back. 'We have to move him' he says and
Tyler grabs the feet of the man, Josh grabbing his underarms. We follow them outside watching as the my carry him towards the back of the cabin with their tops over their mouths.
'I can't do this Tyler' Josh whines and throws his head back 'I killed him' he says almost in tears.
'Yeah and you aren't going down for it' Tyler says confidently 'now put him in the shed or something and we will figure something out in the morning.
'That's my grandads old shed!' Ruby shouts 'now there's a dead body in there' she whispers.
'Lets just get some sleep and hopefully this will just be some nightmare' I say and usher everyone back inside.
