"I liked it too," Hermione giggled at the end of the corridor. Cammie glanced at Draco to notice that he'd turned fifty shades of red. His cheeks were literally radiating heat like a fiery furnace. Cammie chuckled, sliding off Draco's back.
"Nice to meet you, Hermione. I'm Cammie. I'm Draco's best friend!" Cammie held out her hand, and Hermione shook it politely.
"Nice to meet you as well." She replied, smiling.
"Well, I'm gonna leave you two to your date."
"Cammie!" Draco exclaimed.
Cammie tried to run away, but Draco grabbed her around her thin waist, tickling her stomach until she squealed with laughter. Draco finally released her, and she scurried back down the hallway, still giggling lightly. Draco awkwardly shoved his hands in his trouser pockets. "So..."
Hermione approached him; the pair were merely inches apart. She smiled innocently. "I thought that was cute.""Yeah?" Draco was taken aback by her suddeness, as she was now chest to chest with him. He backed up into a wall, but Hermione was unperturbed, moving closer still to Draco. He smiled, inhaling her light perfume and her skin that smelled like soap. She stood on tiptoe and Draco pressed his lips to hers. Light at first, the kiss turned from very gentle to hungry and passionate in an instant. Hermione's mouth was formed to his, and the two pairs of lips opened and closed in perfect harmony. They became one, mouth to mouth, and for a fleeting moment nothing really mattered.
Draco was the one to pull away. "I have a question for you." He wrapped his arms around Hermione's waist.
"Hmm?" Hermione seemed pretty eager to get back to what they were doing.
"Wanna be my girlfriend?"
"I wasn't already? Cammie seemed to think so." Draco smiled at this comment, molding his mouth back against Hermione's.
Cammie was skipping back to the dorms, absently humming the tune of "Draco's Going to See His Girlfriend." Cammie was ADHD, so every small detail drew her attention away from her train of thought. Boy, Draco's girlfriend is pretty. Look at that peculiar spider. Wow, I wish Draco could play with me today, but I like to see him with his girlfriend. Oops, someone spilled a potion. Is that an Angel's Trumpet Draught? Magnificent! Where am I going? Oh yeah; to the common room.
Cammie's thoughts followed a similar pattern the entire walk back to the Slytherin common room. Down the steps, Cammie stopped to rescue a stray toad from the clutches of someone's cat. She quickly decided to name the creature Herb and let it rest in her breast pocket.
The rest of the walk consisted of more humming and a lot of croaking from the toad. Cammie arrived at the entrance to the Slytherin common room, which had been redone after the battle. It was usually a small brass knocker shaped like a serpent, and you had to beat the proper rhythm to access it. However, today the knocker was completely snapped off. Cammie tried to push the door open, but it fell off the hinges, landing with a heavy thud on the other side of the frame.
"Hullo?" Cammie called. No reply. She took a small step into the common room, only to find that the inside had been completely annihilated. Debris littered the ground and tiny bits of garbage fluttered through the air. "Hullo? Anyone in here?" The furniture looked as if it had been slashed with talons, and perhaps spat on by a creature with venomous spit. The portraits were all knocked down and empty; the inhabitants must've left during the attack. Cammie turned, completely prepared to make a run from the destroyed common room, when she noticed the tall, shadowy figure blocking the doorway.
