Selina's POV
I finally gave up and climbed down the tree. I saw Annabeth giving the boy I saw last night a tour. I hopped down and walked to her.
"The point is, the borders are sealed to keep mortals and monsters out. From the outside, mortals look and see nothing unusual, just a strawberry—SELINA!" Annabeth gasped.
"Shh, be quiet, I'm still not ready. Hi Percy!" I said.
"Hi Seth," he said.
"Hey do me a favor," I said, and I took off my orange top, that said CAMP HALF-BLOOD, off to reveal my tank top I got last night. I handed it to him,"Put it on and hide that horn."
Surprisingly it fit him. Then again, I had it oversized to make me more comfortable.
"Why?" He asked after he tried hiding the Minotaur horn.
"Um, I don't want any attention...tell you later..." I trailed off.
"Or you can tell me now?" Percy said with a smile.
"Like I was saying," Annabeth said, "The point is, the borders are sealed to keep mortals and monsters out. From the outside, mortals look and see nothing unusual, just a strawberry farm."
Then Clarisse just had to show up. I groaned.
"Just because you're the daughter of Artemis doesn't mean you get to be a jerk, Seth." Clarisse grunted, "Oh and Hi, Miss Know-it-all."
"Clarisse," Annabeth sighed. "Why don't you go polish your spear or something?"
"Sure, Miss Princess," Clarisse said. "So I can run you through with it Friday night."
"Erre es korakas!" Annabeth said which meant 'Go to the crows' in Greek. "You don't stand a chance."
"We'll pulverize you," Clarisse said, but her eye said that she probably couldn't follow through on her threat. She turned toward Percy. "Who's this little runt?"
"Percy Jackson," I said, "meet Clarisse, Daughter of Ares."
Percy blinked. "Like...the war God?"
Clarisse sneered. "You got a problem with that?"
"No," Percy remarked. "It explains the bad smell."
Clarisse growled. "We got Annabeth initiation ceremony for newbies, Prissy."
"Percy."
"Whatever. Come on, I'll show you."
"Clarisse—" Annabeth tried to say.
"Stay out if it wise girl."
Annabeth looked pained, but she did stay out of it.
"Percy! Don't do it! She going to take to to girl's—" I started.
"Shut up, arrow head!" Clarisse was mad now.
Annabeth and I shared a glance and followed Clarisse. Percy handed Annabeth his Minotaur horn and, got ready to fight. Before I knew it, Clarisse had him by the neck and was dragging him toward a cinder-block building, that was the girls bathroom. Percy was kicking and punching. Then we followed him into the bathroom. Clarisse's friends all stood there laughing. I quickly punched one in the jaw.
"You would think you'd be over this, since the fact that you've dumped three year olds' heads into the toilet!"
The girl I punched glared at me from my sudden outburst.
"Like he's 'Big Three' material," Clarisse said as she pushed Percy toward one of the toilets. "Yeah right. Minotaur probably fell over laughing, he was so stupid looking."
Her friends snickered.
Annabeth and I stood in the corner, watch through our fingers.
Clarisse dunked his head into the toilet bowl but he held up. Then something happened. I heard the plumbing rumble, and the pipes shudder. Then water shot over his head. It pushed Clarisse back and onto her butt. She struggled, gasping, and her friends tried to help. Then all of toilets bursted out water. I quickly put my hands in front of my face. Surprisingly, I didn't get wet. I looked at Annabeth who also didn't get wet. There was a purple shield around me and her. The girls were all washed out of the bathroom. Then the water shut off. The bathroom was flooded, and Percy was spared. Annabeth stared at him in shock. I just smiled.
"HOW DID YOU DO THAT! THAT WAS SUPER COOL! DO IT AGAIN! I will have to call you when Clarisse is on my nerves. YOU ARE TOTALLY ANNABETH AND MY MISSION AND TWO OTHER PEOPLE! YOU ARE SO FREAKING AWESOME!"
Percy and Annabeth stared at me in shock.
"What, it was cool...." I trailed off and looked above my head. Two birds hung over my head.
"What in the world?" I said.
Then I was wearing a short white dress and a lot of makeup. What in the world?
"I thought you were daughter of Artemis?" Percy asked.
"I was..." I trailed off.
"Anyways Percy I want you on our capture the flag team..." Annabeth trailed off.
"Okay cool." But he still stared at me.
I was daughter of Aphrodite and Artemis. Am I goddess like Annabeth said?
