Chapter Sixteen | Raveleen
Last Chapter...
Are we even allowed to eat here?" I said.
"No, but I don't really care." Bailey said.
"Okay." I said.
I was thinking about what Bailey had said earlier.
What exactly does her sister do?
~•~
What does Raveleen do? Does she threaten people? Does she steal? Does she blackmail? What could Raveleen do that could be so horrible? I thought.
"Hey... are you okay?" Bailey asked.
Maybe she bullies people... I thought.
"Catherine. Where is your mind right now? You're literally staring off into space."
Maybe she gets into a lot of fights? I thought.
"Catherine! Stop staring off into the distance! The flowers aren't even that pretty, stop staring at them!" Bailey screamed and shook my shoulders.
"What?" I asked.
"You were literally staring at the flowers for what seems like forever." Bailey said.
"Yeah, no kidding. Sorry, I was just thinking about something." I said.
"Or someone..." Bailey teased.
"Yeah, somewhat... Wait, what do you mean by someone?" I asked.
"I mean someone like a boy..." Bailey teased.
"Bailey, I don't like anyone, okay?" I sighed.
"Well, have you ever liked any boys before?" Bailey said.
"I don't think I've known you long enough to tell you the kinds of people I've had a crush on." I said.
"What? Why? Tell me, please!" Bailey whined.
I used my fingers to 'zip my lips' closed.
I then heard a little tinkling bell sound from behind.
"What is that?" I asked.
"The bell. Let's go!" Bailey said and grabbed my hand.

Soon after my classes, my first day at my new school had officially ended.
It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. What's strange though, is that there is a flying class.
The class is for all students who need a
little help learning to fly. Since I don't actually have wings, I had to sit out for the rest of the period.Which sucks, cause I actually would really like to fly.
I was waiting outside the school for Bailey, when I saw Raveleen walk out.
"Hi." Raveleen said.
"Hey." I replied.
Neither of us said a word until Bailey walked out the large front doors of the school.
"Hey guys!" Bailey chirped.
I was going to say hi, when I saw something drip down Raveleen's cheek. It was a dark, red liquid. Was that... blood?
"Oh my god, is that blood? What happened to you?" I screamed.
"Catherine, calm down! It's just paint!" Bailey exclaimed.
"P-Paint?" I shuddered.
"Yeah! Raveleen has Advanced Art as her last class, and sometimes things get a little messy." Bailey said calmly.
"Yeah," Raveleen said as it continued to drip down her face. "Denise was flicking her paintbrush when a ball of red paint l-landed on m-my cheek."
"And you didn't even think to wash it off?" I asked.
"Well, I was about to when the bell rang and I started to walk out of the class." Raveleen said.
"Catherine, please stop with the questions. You're acting as if Raveleen is like a psycho or something!" Bailey said.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"It's fine." Raveleen replied.
The three of us walked back to the house. However, I was still very suspicious about Raveleen. Paint does not drip like that. It was blood. I was determined to prove Raveleen was lying.

I wasn't sure what time it was, but I assumed it was night since it was pretty dark outside.
I saw Bailey walk into her room when it was time to sleep. I walked into my room when I thought...
Wait, where's Raveleen?
I looked all around the house and I decided to look outside.
I got distracted by the lake outside of the house. The moon's reflection was shining on it, and it looked beautiful.
I then heard some struggling and rustling in the bushes.
I looked behind a tree and saw Raveleen...
Covered in blood.
