Friends?

chapter eleven- i messed up.

Alayna's POV

it was time. i was ready to break up with nash. he was spending less time with me as we got deeper into the relationship.

i walked out of the room to get away from people and right once i exited the room i ran right into taylor, causing him to spill his plate of drinks right on the two of us.

"i'm sorry." taylor said.

"no it's my fault i wasn't paying attention and i ran into you.' i said back to him.

he looked my straight into my eyes and said, "you know what, it is your fault."

he tried so hard not to laugh and all i could do was keep a straight face.

"i'm kidding." taylor said laughing.

i walked away slowly looking down at my phone and then i noticed an ambulance outside. i started walking faster and i saw hayes beside the ambulance holding payton's bag's. i got even more worried. as soon as i got outside i stood by hayes and waited for him to tell me what happened.

"payton was his by a car." he said as the ambulance sped off and trying not to cry.

i was shocked, payton was all about safety. "i'm so sorry hayes."

"what are you sorry for you didn't do anything." he replied sobbing. "i was right behind her, carrying her bags. we were walking across the crosswalk and this grey cadillac i think was speeding and knocked the wind out of her. i ran over to her and tried to wake her up. she had a little pulse then but not much."

"oh my gosh that is so terrible." i said to him. "i wish i could help you."

"well you can't."

"okay, i guess i won't then."

i continued to walk down the streets of new york, praying not to get shot. i put my phone in my jacket pocket, and walk pass a hobby lobby, jimmy johns, and a frozen yogurt place. i was getting a little hungry so i went into jimmy johns and ordered a sandwich and a drink.

after i finished i continued walking and as i walked, i walked past a park and saw brent and aaron sitting on a bench. i went over and sat by them.

"hey." aaron said.

"hey." i said to both of them.

"what's up." brent said.

"yeah." Aaron added on

"well, i was walking and i just decided to come have a rest after i ate."

"you look good today." aaron told me.

"thanks?"

"he's right." brent said.

"thanks." i said laughing.

"me and nash broke up." i said.

"really?" aaron asked excited.

"yeah." i said laughing.

"would you ever date me?" brent asked.

i was silent for a second.

"huh?" aaron asked.

"yeah." i said.

"now?" brent asked again.

i was silent again.

"so yes?" brent asked.

"yeah"  aaron said. "i will."
