Confusion

The waves crash in
I wonder if it will end
The sorrow, death and sin.

If I look back at the life I have had
I try to rejoice
In everything so sad

Going through all the strife
The hurt, agony and corrosion
That this package is called life

When I cheerfully sing a song
The light shines bright
But regrettably you are very wrong

You think you help make it fine
By slashing with a pitch fork
But then life is much less than divine

They say wear heart on your sleeve
Mine safe in my chest
Knowing the pain will never leave

Many changes do come
Casting emotions far
No matter where from

Just try find a friend
For no one ever
Stays til the very end

Sometimes I close my eyes to focus
I misstep and crush
The very life of the crocus.

No matter what it be
Enraptured constrained
It all He can see

You think it hurts worse for you
Disillusioned and disfigured
You see no other trials through

No matter where I tread
Each and every careful step
Fills me with hurtful dread
