Once again, as if it were a weekly ritual, Eloria walked into the coffee shop that is, Starbucks.
She was in a fairly good mood today. Her hard work finally paid off and her lecturer gave her a very good mark on her assignments. Today's a good day, she thought.
She walked up to the counter with a small smile on her lips. She was just about to order the usual, when she noticed the raven haired boy instead of the blond.
"Welcome to Starbucks. I'm Damien, what can I get for you?" he said in a bored tone.
That's right. Damien.
Chad told her his name a week ago.The smile vanished to a tiny frown.
"Uh, yeah. One caramel macchiato, thanks," she said, her voice sounding a bit deflated."Venti?" he asked, and she simply nodded.
"Your name?" He grabbed a black marker from a pencil holder.
"Sophia," she said.
He nods, writing down her name and starts getting to work. She hesitates a bit before asking, "Where's Chad?"
He looks up briefly at her then looks back down at his work, smirking a bit.
"You miss him?"His question caught her off guard and her cheeks reddened slightly. "I was just.. asking."
"Right. He's had a day off. He'll be back tomorrow, probably," Damien shrugs.
"Oh."
Damien finishes making her drink and sets it on the counter in front of her. She says her thanks and pays for it then grabs her drink and starts for the exit.
Only then did she notice that not a lot of people were in the shop, and only then did she notice how empty she felt.
Now, let's just say her fairly good mood came to an end right then. She doesn't really know exactly why she feels that way, but she chose not to bother and just ignore the world for awhile.
Suddenly, her plan to ignore the world backfires as she bumps into a blond haired boy with green eyes.
Chad has blue eyes.
"Sorry," he said quickly, giving her an apologetic look, then he jogs away to his two friends who hadn't noticed a thing.
Only she did. She noticed one of them. Not the blond haired she bumped into, or the brown haired boy talking to him.
She noticed the other blond, laughing at them.
The one she knows as Chad. And that was all it took for her bad mood to be gone.
