"No! Brooke! Please don't make me go in," I pleaded desperately.

Brooke was forcing me to go into the diner for dinner but Nathan would be there. I definitely couldn't face him. Not after what happened. Brooke rolled her eyes.

"Come on Lexi! You've been inside our dorm all day watching The Vampire Diaries. We're going in there, I mean what are you afraid of?" Brooke asked.

I hadn't told Brooke about what had happened but she knew something was up.

Nathan and Austin, I thought.

"Nothing! I just want to stay in bed all day, is that a crime?" I asked.

Brooke raised an eyebrow. I really need to learn to do that!

"In my books, it is. Now come on, we're going in there whether you like it or not!"

I whined the whole way of her dragging me into the diner. As we entered I looked around and my eyes connected with a pair of piercing green eyes.

Nathan's piercing green eyes.

I looked away as quickly as possible and choked slightly. Brooke gave me a strange look but I said nothing while Nathan glared at me. I also noticed Austin sitting next to Nathan. When he looked my way he gave me a wink and a small smirk showing his dimples. Crap.

I looked at Brooke with a pleading look as I felt Nathan's glare burn a hole through my back.

"Please can I just go home?" I whispered.

Brooke frowned a little and opened her mouth to say something but she was cut off by Jay, "Lexi! Brooke! Get over here!" Jay called.

Brooke gave me an apologetic look before we went over. I sat down next to Siva and Max but unfortunately it was opposite Nathan who was sat next to Austin and Ally. On the other table there was Jay, Tom, Brooke, Ben and Sophie. I wonder where Hayley is...

"So Lexi... You seemed a bit reluctant to come in," Austin said.

I froze up a little, "Yeah, I'm not feeling well," I lied.

He raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? What's wrong then?" He asked smirking, seeing straight through my lie.

I glared straight at him with a cold look. I can't stand him. Especially after that summer...

"Leave her alone Austin," Jay snapped standing up for me.

I looked over at him and gave him a small smile which he returned. I had noticed that Siva seemed a little rigid and uncomfortable but he also was glaring at Austin. Max just sipped his drink and read the menu. I looked over at Tom who was just staring at his phone. Jay just glared at Austin. What is going on?

"Where's Hayley?" I asked my throat feeling dry.

Sophie spoke up this time, "She didn't want to come." Sophie gave me a small smirk.

I nodded my head slowly wishing to be anywhere but here.

"So Lexi, where did you go last night?" Ally asked.

I bit my lip slightly, before sparing Nathan a look but he was glaring at me. I feel sick.

"Stop asking her questions," said an annoyed Siva.

I looked at him and gave him a small smile.

"Shut up, Siva," Austin spat.

I glared at Austin annoyed.

"Just leave her alone," Siva said. I sensed another meaning to it but I didn't want to over-analyse it.

The diner on our side was filled with an awkward silence with everyone looking anywhere but at someone.

"So Lexi, was it good to kiss Ben?" Ally asked.

I felt bile rise in my throat as Austin gave me yet another smirk. My face flushed with anger and embarrassment before I quickly stood up and ran to the toilets.

I threw up anything in me feeling tears prick my eyes.

"Hey, you ok?" Brooke asked, coming in with a worried expression on her face. She held my hair back as I finished being sick before grabbing some tissues and helped wipe my face.

"I want to go home, Brooke. I knew it was a bad idea to come," I shook my head.

Brooke nodded her head, "I'll come with you. As soon as you left Nathan started shouting at Ally. Ben stood up for her. Austin took Ben and Nathan outside and now it's just really awkward," Brooke said giving a small laugh.

I smiled, well tried to, "great... I'm sorry I'm just not feeling very well," I said.

Brooke shrugged, "You can't help it. I should have listened to you. Come on let's go," Brooke smiled.

We walked out of the toilets and pass the tables, I ignored everyone's looks by staring down at my converse while Brooke told them that we were going back. We got outside when we heard shouting. I looked at Brooke before we walked a little further out and saw Nathan and Ben fighting. Nathan seemed to be beating the hell out of Ben. Ben made a hit to Nathan's face and Nathan spat blood out.

"Get in the car, Lexi. Don't get involved. Come on, this happens all the time," Brooke pleaded, tugging at my arm. I refused to budge.

I shook my head. I can't let Nathan beat Ben up, no matter how much I hate Nathan. If Nathan doesn't stop he'll kill Ben.

"I'm sorry," I said to her before running over to them.

"Nathan! Nathan stop it!" I shouted. Austin looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "stand back sweetheart don't want you getting hurt," Austin said.

"Fuck you, Austin," I spat glaring at him.

I grabbed the hood on Nathan's hoodie and tried pulling him away, "do something!" I shouted at Austin.

Austin shook his head as Nathan shrugged me off and went back to hitting Ben, "let them fight it out," Austin chuckled, obviously enjoying the show,

I glared at him again before wrapping my arms around Nathan's torso as Ben fell to the floor, "Nathan... Nathan please stop it," I whispered, feeling tears fill my eyes.

Nathan was breathing heavily before he turned and looked at me. There was a cut on his lip and a black eye was forming, his knuckles were busted up.

"Please... I know you hate me but please," I whispered softly.

He looked at me with his piercing green eyes before grabbing my arm and pulling me away from Ben and Austin. We walked past Brooke who was looking at me shocked before we arrived at his car. Nathan harshly opened the passenger door and I got in before he quickly slammed it. As he went to his side I started breathing heavily. Nathan got in and slammed his door before quickly starting the car then driving off.

"Are... Are you ok?" I whispered.

"Don't talk," he snapped.

I frowned but stayed quiet. Who knows what he might do when he's like this. I felt my phone buzz, I got it out and saw a text from Brooke I went to reply but Nathan grabbed my phone and put it into his pocket.

"Hey!" I defended.

He gave a tiny smirk showing his lip ring, "shut up I said don't talk," Nathan muttered.

I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned back in the seat waiting for him to stop driving.

After ten minutes Nathan finally pulled up outside a big house. He got out of his side before going over to my side and opening the door, I got out and looked up at the big house. Who the hell lives here?

Nathan grabbed my hand and pulled me up the stairs before getting something out of his pocket, "we're not breaking in!" I whispered shocked.

Nathan rolled his eyes and got a key out before unlocking the door and stepping in, "it's not breaking in when I live here," he muttered and took my arm pulling me in.

"You could at least be gentle," I mumbled as he locked the door behind us.

He smirked at me in the darkness before taking my hand and guiding me upstairs. My heart started to beat faster. What was he doing?

After walking up the stairs Nathan turned right and then opened a door. He turned the light on and pulled me into the room before closing the door behind him.

He had a spacious room, there was a double bed pushed up against the wall. There was a stereo set, a huge television, an Xbox and a play station. There was also a laptop on his bed and clothes were thrown over his floor. A typical teenagers room. Which is strange since this teenager is a punk, hormonal dick.

"Why am I here?" I asked.

He looked at me before shrugging, "I don't know..." He mumbled.

His injures looked worse in the light. I touched his bruised cheek and he didn't even flinch, "does it hurt?" I asked softly.

Nathan lifted his hand up to mine and pulled my hand away from his face, "I'm use to it." He muttered.

"Where's your first aid kit?" I asked.

He raised a bushy eyebrow, "what?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes, "just because you are a dick and I hate you I'm going to help you out so where's your first aid kit?" I asked.

Nathan left the room silently and I looked around it before he quickly returned with it. I went and sat on his bed and he sat down next to me as I went through it. I got the cleaning wipes and cleaned off the blood from his face while he hissed a little, "could have warned me," he snapped glaring at me.

"Now where would the fun be in that?" I asked innocently before I finished cleaning up the blood.

He looked a little better now, "not much I can do about the bruising but it'll go. So, tell me, why were you and Ben fighting anyway?" I asked. I wasn't expecting him to answer anyway.

And I was right. He grabbed the dirty wipes and threw them in the bin before putting the first aid kit on his desk. He got his black shirt off that was now ruined because blood had stained it.

I looked at his star tattoo again and he raised an eyebrow, "when are you taking me back to the dorm?" I asked ignoring his look.

"Stay here tonight." He mumbled.

I looked at him shocked, "I... I can't," I stuttered.

"Why not?" He asked smirking as he sat back down next to me. Still without a shirt.

"Because it's Sunday and I have classes tomorrow and you hate me. What happened to 'ruining' me if I ever came near you?" I asked quickly.

Nathan looked at me before rolling his eyes, "yeah, well, I'll get back to ruining you tomorrow. Right now, I just want to sleep. If it makes you feel better we can go to your dorm in the morning but I'm sleeping. Unless you want to try and walk back to campus," Nathan teased.

He stood up and shrugged his jeans off leaving him in his boxers without a care in the world, wow.

I blushed as he looked at me, "where will I sleep? And what about your parents?" I asked.

"In my bed, and my mum is use to me bringing a girl over," Nathan smirked before turning the light off.

I felt something in me that didn't like that he always brought girls over. Wait, am I jealous? Pfft, me? Jealous? Hah! I'm not jealous? Why would I be jealous of someone I hate?

"What will I sleep in?" I asked looking down at my t-shirt, hoodie and jeans.

"My shirt," he said and chucked me his shirt.

I caught it before sighing, "do you have sweatpants? Or trackies as they are called in the UK," I said.

"Yeah I do have sweatpants," Nathan said doing a American accent.

I rolled my eyes, "ass," I muttered before standing up.

Nathan went and sat on his bed, "even though its dark look away, pervert," I said blushing.

Nathan chuckled, "nothing I haven't seen before baby," he said.

I blushed again before he turned around this time. I took my t-shirt off before slipping his on then taking my bra off from underneath. Then took my jeans off after kicking my shoes off luckily the shirt reached my thigh. I slipped on the sweatpants before tying them tighter. I then folded my clothes before going over to Nathan's bed shuffling against the ground.

"Done? Great, get in," he ordered.

I rolled my eyes, "you seriously need to work on your manners," I snapped.

Nathan smirked before getting under the covers and lifting the cover up for me. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair before getting under it. I made sure there was enough room between Nathan and I without me actually falling off the bed.

"Are you scared of me?" Nathan asked laughing a little.

I rolled my eyes in the darkness, "No. I just don't like you," I muttered. I decided 'hate' would be too strong. I didn't want to make him angry, I am staying in his bed...

I jumped when I felt arms snake around my waist, "nice to know," Nathan murmured leaning his face against where my neck and shoulder met. I felt his lip ring graze my neck.

"What are you doing?" I asked, taking quick, short breaths.

I felt his breath as he chuckled, "holding you, is there a problem?" He asked. Every time he spoke his lip ring was pressed against my neck.

I took another deep breath, "it's... Just... Er... You hate me and I..." I trailed when his hand started running up and down my arm.

"Hmm," Nathan murmured.

"Stop it," I complained and sat up.

Nathan grinned at me in the darkness, "don't tell me you don't like it, I know you do," Nathan smirked.

"No, Nathan. I don't like it okay. Now, just go back to your side of the bed and go to sleep" I snapped.

"Every time I be nice to you, this is what I get. And then you wonder why I'm such a dick. Every time I start to think that you're worth being nice to, you always prove me wrong Alexis. Always," he snapped back. With that, he distanced himself from me as much as he could.

I sat there, shocked, before sliding down into the bed as tears filled my eyes. I will not cry. I will not cry. Not again. Especially not with Nathan here. I kept chanting to myself but traitor tears fell down my cheeks. I kept silent as I cried to myself. I always messed up. Always.

I felt Nathan shift slightly before he said, "it was because of you." He muttered before it was silent.

I held my breath. They were fighting because of me.
