It was a day where the sun shined brightly and light winds blowing, just a perfect sunny day in Malaysia, a great symbol for the presence of lady luck to commemorate the wedding of Alan and Janice as they join as one under the holy matrimony; hand in hand, for better for worse, till death do them part. It was a grand event held at the Assunta Catholic Church in Petaling Jaya. The wedding bells were going 'Ding, Dong; Ding, Dong', cute flower girls spreading rose petals on the aisle towards the groom where the bride will soon walk on holding her father's hand. Pretty bridesmaids and handsome best man are already waiting in front of the priest. It was a small wedding ceremony with only 50 people consisting of family members and close acquaintances. The tied their knots and were for the first time in their lives hearing this sentence; you are now recognized as a man and wife, you may now kiss the bride. A grand dinner at the Mayang Sari Grand Ballroom in JW Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. It was attended by more than 250 people. The parents of the bride and groom are seated at the main table together with the best man and bridesmaids. Alan's father is one of the most respected and successful in the Asian and Oceania region. Alan is no spoilt brat, his parents had struggles to become successful people and thus, thought him to take education seriously. He managed to get a scholarship to go and study Business and Economics in Stanford University. He understood well on how to manage his spendings which made his parents really proud of him. He met the love of his life while undergoing his pre-university course in Sunway College. She was from a moderate background, she like Alan- took education very seriously and their first meeting was actually during a debate. They were on opposite teams and got into a heated argument backing up their own teams. Janice's team emerged the champion, her team won fair and square and Alan had no hard feelings but his friends knew he had some other feelings for her and started to tease him.

It took him nearly three months to ask her out and she also had some feelings for him, they went out casually at first not wanting their relationship to affect their studies, both of them had one goal; to complete their A-levels examination and get a scholarship to do their degree. They managed to get their relationship going as well as acing their A-levels examination, Alan got his scholarship to Stanford while Janice got a scholarship to study Medicine in Trinity College Dublin Medical School. They managed to maintain their long distance relationship although they had a huge time difference, thanks to modern technology smartphones that has applications such as Skype, Whatsapp, Viber and Tango. These applications kept them in contact and maintained their relationship. Once their courses ended, they came back to finish their 2 years working for the country as a method of thanking them for the scholarship. Once they were done with this, they were already engaged for more than six months and were planning on getting married. Their parents were the ones who were more excited and started tedious planning for the wedding of the century. Since, Alan's father was one of the most successful business tycoon in the country, the media intervened which cause most of the family members to be mad at what was printed by the press. Even Alan got pissed when the press printed an article about him being a spoilt brat, he nearly thought of cancelling the wedding after the news went viral because he could not take another fake fact thrown into public. Janice felt insecure reading lies after lies published by the press, and had multiple emotional breakdowns in the period of their relationship downfall.

Soon, they managed to overcome their problems by working together and supporting each other. Alan's father contacted a few of his friends who held high positions in the media companies and told them that he and his family needed some privacy as the 'day' was nearing. They managed to get at least a little privacy, which was more than enough for them after an excruciating two long months appearing on the front page of the Life & Times section in the nationwide newspapers. A month through the wedding, the bride and groom had started planning on their honeymoon, thus decided to go to spend a fortnight in the Hayman Island, a secluded island a chosen spot for most honeymooners and those who want to get away from a rough work period to spend some quality time with their loved ones. This spot is mainly just a spot for a couple to experience a romantic extravaganza. It is considered to be a tiny island but it's a great place to calm your mind, body and soul by walking through the luscious green sceneries of their tropical garden and enjoy a peaceful time just laying on the fine grained sands in the secluded beaches; for couples who love adventures, the rocky inlets is the best place to go. These were the reviews, they had read online on various websites and blogs prior making their decision. Everything about the place seemed to have caught their heart the moment they saw the advertisements online.
