"Are you sure we should send them to Ember, Doon? I mean, Ember's not safe after these years." Said the girl. Doon sighs silently "We have no choice Lina. We have to find Mrs. Murdo and my father. They didn't arrive last time." Said Doon. Doon really missed his father. And Lina missed Mrs. Murdo too.
Suddenly 2 kids were laughing. "Ashley, William, it's time." Said Lina. Ashley and William wimps. Earth has been their home ever since they were born. And Doon said "You won't be there forever. You're just going to find 2 people. 1 of their name is Mrs. Murdo. And the 2 one is Mike Harrow." And William and Ashley looked at each other, and smiled. But Lina wasn't. She bent down to do something.
"To get to Ember, there's this door on a hill that you must go into. Then there's a path to get back to Ember. If you find Mrs. Murdo and Mike Harrow, tell them Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow sent you. But be on the lookout for the rat." "Don't tell them about the rat! I don't want them to worry!" Said Doon. And William and Ashley were off. They weren't scared of anything. But, they loved adventure.
But what lies down back of Ember? What if the path was destroyed? What if they had no way to get out? They couldn't let that get to them. When they get there, is when they have to figure out the pieces.
