*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*I woke up to the most annoying sound ever. My alarm clock. It read 5:00, a.m. that is. As I got up I remembered all that had happened the night before. We were at Chris's house until about midnight just talking and getting to know one another. It was kind of nice. At least I can say that I've made some friends now the next time my mom calls. I feel safe too knowing I have someone to call if I get lost or plain out scared.
I got showered and put my hair into a messy bun. I was due at work at seven, right now it was 5:30 and I still had to do my make-up and eat some breakfast. I decided to put a waffle in the toaster and go start my make-up. By the time I was done it was around 6:15 and my apartment isn't too far from work so I took a minute to watch tv and catch up with the news. I tuned into channel five when I noticed they were doing a bit on Marvel. That's when I remembered what Sebastian said last night. Or I tried to remember, it wasn't exactly easy seeing as I don't speak Romanian. Luckily for me though, the Internet does. I took out my phone to check until I saw the time. 6:25. I nearly dropped the glass of tea I was drinking and ran out the door.
"Ms. Newman? We're having you paint Henry today. He's in studio room eight." The receptionist told me as I entered the building. "Thank You! Have a good day." "Mmhm". That was her only reply, not even a 'You too'. I never understood what was going through a person's mind to not even try and be polite but it didn't matter. I was raised to be polite no matter the circumstance. As I was walking down the long corridor I tried to remember who she said I was painting. Harry? Hank? Then it dawned on me. Henry. I was painting Henry. If there was one thing I had learned in my short time working here, it was which model was professional, which was nice, and which was a down right flirt. It just so happens that Henry fits into the flirt category. This outta be fun..
"Hello Henry, I'm Kate, I'll be your artist today." I went over to the desk they supply in every studio room and put my stuff down and looked at what type of clothing I would be painting today.
"Wow. Had I known you would be my artist I would have gotten undressed now." He got up from where he was sitting, fully clothed, and stuck his hand out for me to shake.
"Please, I prefer to give handshakes to men fully dressed." I stifled a laugh and shook his hand. Give handshakes to men fully dressed? What the hell Kate, not even remotely smooth. While I was chastising myself for the horrible joke I hadn't even realized that after we shook hands he took my hand and kissed it.
"Ah I see. Then I am in luck." I smiled and told Henry what he would have to change into and then I got to work.
The day went on and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Henry was silent most of the time I was painting him. It was when I was packing up that he became vocal.
"Hey Kate?"
"Yeah?" I turned as to better see Henry. Little did I know he was standing so close to me.
"You wanna get a drink later? I know a great little bar down the street." He looked at me waiting for an answer.
Drinking had never really been my thing, sure I would have one once in a while, but getting drunk was never an intention of mine. Although judging by the look on his face, drinking wasn't on his mind either.
"I'm sorry Henry, I have plans tonight." I said and did my best to act sincere and sorry while I finished packing up my things.
"Alright, next time then." He smirked, grabbed his jacket from the chair, and left before I could even protest. I guess I'll have to come up with another excuse by next time then...
By the time I had finally gotten home I was exhausted, both from a lack of sleep the night before and from work. I changed into my pajamas and checked my phone. No new messages. I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed but then I shook it from my mind. You just met them, don't be weird. It wasn't like you were all close, more like acquaintances. After I exited my messages I double tapped the home button to clear my running apps when I saw the internet running and translate open. I completely forgot to look up what Sebastian said. I typed it in multiple times before it finally resembled something that looked like a sentence. I read the sentence and then read it again because I couldn't believe it. "After we find some paint, you better watch out." That's what the sentence read. I laughed to myself before covering my mouth. I bet he felt so clever saying that last night. Before I went to bed I decided to have some fun with this. I typed a few words into the English section of the translator and clicked the 'translate' button to Romanian, then copied it on my phone and sent it to Sebastian. "Ei bine jucat soldat, bine jucat." If it translates right it should say, "Well played soldier, well played." After I hit send I started to over think the text. Was it weird for me to say solider? Will he get annoyed with the reference? No way. He wouldn't...right? I mean Marvel is cool...Bucky's cool. Before I let this go any further I decided it would probably be better if I just went to bed. I could use the sleep.
The next chapter is here! 1002 words this time, a little less than before but still a thousand! It's a bit of a filler chapter, but Seb will be back in it soon! Enjoy! Also did anyone else hear that the third Thor may be the last time we see Loki? :/ *sigh*
