Chapter 5

Missy Lou strolled down the town. She had never stopped before to see how beautiful the town was...when chaos was not in the picture. She smiled at the sight of a woman caring for her baby, a man teaching his son how to cut wood, and little girls helping their mothers with the loads. Then her smile faded when she took a look at herself. She had on dark clothing and practically looked like a witch.  For a moment, she frightened herself.

"What happened to the old Dehana..." she asked herself.

It was her number one question...where had that old, adventurous, caring, sweet, funny, little girl Dehana go? What had she changed to, and why?

"Ma'am would you like to---" a little girl said, but froze when she fully saw Dehana's face.

"Yes, I would like to buy one of your apples." Dehana smiled.

Dehana took a few coins from her pocket and handed them to the little girl, who seemed to be lost in time. The little girl hesitated, but kindly took the money from Dehana and handed her 3 apples.

"Thank you...Missy Lou." the girl said, not moving.

Dehana smiled, "My pleasure."

The girl ran off, dropping one of her apples. She turned to pick it back up, but quickly left. That was the basic life of Dehana nowadays. She continued her stroll around the town, remembering to keep track of where Victoria's house was. She walked until she saw a familiar man with blonde hair looking around. She didn't quite know exactly where she had seen him, but as she walked closer to the man she knew EXACTLY who he was...

"Why hello, are you familiar with this place? As you can see I am terribly lost." the man spoke as he spotted Dehana.

All Dehana did was nod, and look at how he dressed. He didn't look as if he was from here. In fact, he didn't sound as if he was from here either. It was a strong English voice.

"Excellent, do you know of Grape Veil Road? I was sent to go there and buy the huge amount of land there, so my father can start the trade from Britain." he continued.

"Follow me." Dehana said.

The man followed Dehana to Grape Veil Road. It was blocks away from Victoria's little home.

As Dehana walked, she kept looking back at the man. He looked to be in his early 30s, but nothing over 40. He was tall, well fit, and charming.
"Where are you from?" Dehana asked.
The man put on a grand smile, "I'm from Great Britain."
Dehana looked at him completely blank, Madam never taught them about Great Britain.
"Is it beautiful there like it is here?"
"More than beautiful, ma'am."
Dehana gave him a cold stare then continued.

"Are we a bit closer now?" The man asked.
"We are close enough..."Dehana said clearly annoyed.
"I am very sorry, if I've annoyed you. I really want to thank you for all your help. We need more people like you, don't you think?"
Dehana stopped...the man had no idea who this "person" was.
"You don't even know me, how could you possibly want more people like me?"
The man smiled, "Because someone who didn't have a good heart wouldnt have help me, would they?"
Dehana thought of it for a minute, then she felt warm inside.
"Enough nonsense, let's continue." Dehana said, as she continued.

"Were here, now if you need anything go to that little house over there." She pointed at Victoria's house.
"Ok thank you, I will surely come by." He smiled, then waved.
Dehana gave him a simple nod and was on her way back to Victoria's home.
"Oh by the way, my name is Dillon!" He yelled.
Dehana stopped and turned and nooded.
"My name is Dehana...or in other words Missy Lou "
She turned and atolled back to Victoria's home.
