Written by Megan TThere was something inside her, slowly building as she sat by the ocean. It was a burning feeling that started at the base of her spine and as it grew bigger and bigger it slowly started to seep into her heart.
If you could see this burning fire inside her then you'd know that it wasn't a normal fire, it wasn't just angry red or burning yellow. It also had the black flecks of despair and the painful colour of purple, the sadness of blue, and the guilt of orange. This fire was the kind that turned the rainbow sad.
This feeling is the kind that makes you want to drop to your knees and scream until your lungs give out, till there's nothing left but that last sound of your dying breath as you wish your mind would fade into oblivion.
At this point her face is blushed red and there are wet tracks that streak her face, as she stands and her back faces the water, her mind wants to say her final goodbye to him but the disconnect between her brain and her mouth levels her with the words,
"Why couldn't it be me? I wish it was me."
